HEAVEN IS NOT FOR THOSE WITH AN ADULT HEART

A MUST READ  MESSAGE,  SO PARADOXICAL.

TOPIC : HEAVEN IS  NOT FOR THOSE WITH AN ADULT HEART.

 THEME : FORGIVENESS

This is a must read this Sunday 15th September 2019.

And Jesus said :

3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3 : 3 – 5).

To be born again is to be like little children who do not have an adult heart. To be born again requires a forgiving heart.

Note the following :

(1) Two women quarelled in the family last year, and until this year, they have not greeted each other and they could be in the same church and also receiving same Holy Communion.

(2) Two men also quarelled ten years ago even in the family and in the same church and stopped talking to each other. They carry malice in their hearts and are also members in the same church and receiving the same  Holy Communion.

(3) Two little  children fought this morning, which nearly led their mothers to a fight. But later in   the day,  these children were seen sharing pieces of biscuits, they have never received the Holy Communion,  and yet their mothers have not yet reconciled.

WE NEED A NEW HEART.

My Christian friends,  we need the heart of  children if we must go to heaven. We must be born of water,  which is the word of God,  to make us to be God’s children,  prepared to go to heaven, We need to be baptised of the Holy Spirit to have the heart of God.

NOTE THIS :

Jesus said : “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” ( Mark 10 :15).

THE NEW MAN IN GOD’S WORD.

We must be new in our hearts having set aside the old man of sin and grudges, if we must enter heaven.

And people are dying daily in this world and some may not have forgiven those who have done them evil or for just a simple offence.

Even if the man you call an enemy dies,  you do not have his flesh for your stew. BEWARE !

There is nothing to gain by keeping malice in our  hearts. Forgive one another to make yourself to be like the little  children,  if you must enter heaven.

FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER.

Even in some forums, places of work, family meetings or social clubs, they have   been translated to  places to express mistrust, hate, rancour, anger and acrimony,  instead of a place to share love coming from the various homes and  unity of purpose  for a common good. When shall we apply God’s Word to live and live in harmony?

And Jesus said :

6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6 : 14-15).

We need the heart of children to go to heaven. We also need the heart of a child to flow in our communities.

If God does not FORGIVE any man’s sins, then such an one is  lost for ever in eternity to come.

BE LIKE A CHILD.

Many people are already hardened in unforgiveness. The child does not have the mind  to celebrate unforgiveness. There is need to repent from unforgiveness.

NOTES:

Jesus said :

1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Mark 1:15)

Infact this was the beginning of Jesus message to the world. Someone asked me : “Why do you want to work with the man who  you disagreed with yesterday?” My answer was ” It is scriptural to be at peace with all men”

To achieve this “peace” we must repent, or  in   other words take a  U-turn to glorify God in many life matters here on earth.

To repent is central to godliness.

John the Baptist’s mission:

3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; (Luke 3 : 2 –  3)

People needed to turn away from the life of sin and vengeance,  which was prevalent at those  times of Jesus and John the Baptist This is still a raging issue in our world of today.

A child who read my devotional ” The Children’s Daily Manna,  phoned me and asked this question ” How can I forgive the man who killed my father? And I answered him:  Read  Matthew 6 : 14 – 15.

FINALLY TODAY NOTE THIS

8:14 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:

8:15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

8:16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: (Zechariah 8 : 14 – 16).

God who was decided to punish us for our evils have repented, and that is He has  taken a U – turn to forgive us. Why must you or me  not forgive our neighbour. Forgiving people is not a sign of cowardice, it is rather a golden rule of good neibourliness. There  is great gain in forgiveness, for it opens ways in this life, and in the life to come.

ACCEPT THIS CHANGE TO MAKE HEAVEN.

My PRAYER for the reader of this sermon :

May the Lord bless your heart and grant to  you the grace to reach the standard mark to go to heaven Amen
