I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD

And Jesus said,  “I am the good Shepherd……” (John 10:14)

Prologue :

5:5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

5:6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. (Micah 5:5-6).

God will send a shepherd to deliver His people from the ravaging enemy. Amen

The Assyrians are a world of the AntiChrist and God will deliver His people.  The people of God will not be totally vanquished for God will send a Messiah for the regathering of His people.

The  Message :

A sermon of encouragement for the oppressed people across the nations. A sermon of hope for every oppressed man or peoples  just as Job in the heat of his great agony said  :

“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

(Job 19:25-26)

You know Job was afflicted at the age of 70 years and after his trial Job lived for another one hundred and forty years (Job  42:1-6)

The total years of Job was  two hundred and ten yesrs on earth. God will bring in restoration caused by locusts or the Assyrians in the territory of His children.

After Job’s devastation,  he was better at all fronts of life.

There is hope for the oppressed and Jesus said in Luke 4:18 :

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,( Luke 4:18).

Jesus came to break the bounds of captivity and oppression as He said in the above verses. The people of God shall be delivered. The Assyrians shall not take possession of the land. Those who trust in God’s power to deliver them will not see shame  for their redeemer is a strong man.

This encouragement comes to strengthen our hearts from the book of proverbs :

“For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.” (Proverbs 23:11).

Jesus said to us in His living word :

10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. (John 10:14-16).

It is not a small thing for Christ to lay down His life for us and will not leave His people to the foe.

This assurance comes from the Word of God : You can see here what God will do against the enemies of His chidren:

“And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.” (Psalm 89:23).

There are abundant testimony of how God will deal with them that trouble His sheep. Note this right from David to the disciples :

2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool. (Acts 2:34-35).

And Jesus is seated to the right hand of God,  ever fighting for His people on this earth. In God’s design to save us and  fight the foe, we have one obligation right here, and let us go back to what God said to Israel :

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Let us know our shepherd stands for us with His staff in His right hand to defend the sheep. He tells us He knows His sheep and known by them. We  know Christ and He knows us and will not  let us for the foe. He is incharge of the sheepfold, and the sheep depend wholly on Him and that confidence will not be cut off.

We have to keep holding our faith up and living by 2 Chronicles 7:14.

And  God will forgive our sin and heal our land. AMEN

My prayer for the saints today :  And the apostle cried forth :

“And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?” (Mark 4:38).

Master the waves are burstling this time around us. Come Lord and do that for which you are known. Tell this tempest to be still Lord Amen.

End time sermon to lift up the confidence and hope for the oppressed. Miracle  Valley Gospel Ministries Message for  last Sunday of June 2019.
