Miracle Valley Sermon 13th October, 2019.
Prologue :
This world will pass away. It also means that man who inhabits this world shall pass away and this place will not exist anymore.
What then shall we take along ?
Message :
“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,”(Matthew 13 : 49.)
Man will take nothing away at the end of the world except his own soul. The wicked shall be separated from the righteous.
Who are the wicked?
The wicked are sinners, who do not love the Lord, who hate the members of God’s family, because they preach the gospel, which they do not want to hear or obey. These are the wicked and they shall be separated from those who obey God’s Word.
HOW DO WE REACT TO THIS?
In the material world people pursue all the things around. They make the material things a god in their hearts and some speak against all that has to do with the Almighty God they being fueled by the material things they possess. Wow !
WHAT ARE THE MATERIAL THINGS?
The material things are contained in the following scriptures. We shall take this scripture in context for this Sunday message to all of us.
We should never allow those things to distract us from serving God. Let what ever you have in life whether rich or poor inspire you to give your life more and more to God.
Reading from 1 John 2:
2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (1 John 2: 16-18).
The Bible tells us here that all that is in the world :
1) The lust of the flesh:
All the lust for immoral things, formication, and adultery even idolatry, money, are of this world. Those things that the flesh loves, which are pursued for the desires they crave into the life of man are of the flesh. These things chase out godliness from the heart of men. There is need to overcome these if anyone desires eternity with God.
2) The lust of the eyes :
Those beautiful things we see, good houses, cars, clothes, jewelry. material attractions, even money, are things of the world. Many have gone deep into them and forgotten about their Lord God Almighty.
3 The pride of life :
When money comes, when promotion comes, when influence gathers, pride steps in. People boast of those things and achievements they have accumulated . Those things fuel the ego of man and they live their life any how and those things become their God. Pride takes over and God says : “He God resists the proud ……”
Position brings shame or pride.
Some because of the position they occupy speak anyhow. When they know that position will pass away and even the life in them that occupies the position is only for a limited time, they must fear God. Those things will pass away with the world.
If you are of a low position, do not be ashamed. Your low position will not stop you from going to heaven, which is the ultimate of human existence.
People forget God and worship the material things because of the things they met in this world.
All these are not of the Father, but of the world.
The world passeth away and all that is in it, but those who do the will of God abideth for ever.
PHYSICAL LIFE IS MATERIAL.
This life on its own will.pass away. As age creeps into every life, the passing away of life draws near. The entire world will pass away and each individual life will pass away in their turns.
The only thing that follows man to eternity is the soul. All the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eye, and the pride of life follow no man to eternity, but the results of these ways of life take people to hell.
THEREFORE LIVE A GOOD LIFE.
Where will you spend eternity? Many who are alive today will not be here tomorrow. This is a situation that people must ponder in their hearts. But before the entire world passes away many must pass away in their own turns.
SO TAKE TIME TO BE HOLY UNTO GOD..
Read this message in this scripture :
Matt. Chapter 24 :
24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Matt. 24 :7)
The above are not new in many parts of the world. The scripture speaks forth:
24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matt. 24:8)
What holds back the end?:
24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (.Matthew 24:14)
Why is the gospel to be preached? The reason is to prepare people to meet with the Lord, so no one will have an excuse. This message you are reading is already in the social media, the Facebook, WhatsApp, some platforms., it is not knew to many, it reminds many about the vanities of this life.
The only thing that remains real, is heaven. One day all the titles will be buried in a process that does not take an hour to be completed. Beyond that event is eternity.
SO PREPARE FOR THE AIR LIFT.
How do you prepare yourself? Take time to be holy for the Lord, for the Lord thy God is holy:
1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1: 15-16).
Therefore as we struggle in this life to get all we can get, remember you are not going with them.
Remember you can go only with your soul and good or evil you have done, and your final destination, will depend on whether you served God or the devil as you struggled to survive in this world.
