Vengeance Is Mine

End time issues call for God’s vengeance, across the nations. This vengeance would be the beginning of God’s judgement of an erring world.

When I ponder over the rate at which all creation are moving away from God and the  wickedness of men, I begin to appreciate the reason why God said, “Vengeance Is Mine”.

In  the world before the flood, wickedness prevailed and God regretted that He had created man on the earth.

Reading from Genesis Chapter 6:5

“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them”.(Genesis 6:5-7).

Current World Direction.

God after the flood and from the time of Moses gave the commandments,   but man could not keep the law. He gave man prophets to direct the way of men, but the prophets were killed, even some on the altar of God where they ministered.

He sent His Son Jesus and He was crucified by men, because men could not keep the law.

In the world today,  there is violence across the nations and some in the guise of their faith are killing people, who do not worship in their own way. You have people who have chosen terrorism as a doctrine for their followers.  You must be surprised to note that terrorists are sponsored by people to kill human beings. Yet in a civilized world with the United Nations crime has been legalised. Yet God is watching these people as if He does not see what they are doing. There is increase in godlessness, ritual murders, love of money and widespread immorality even among christians and one will think God does not see.

So from this point let us visit the caption of today’s sermon again, which says ” Vengeance Is Mine”.

Men can keep on doing what they want to do here, but the truth is that the godless will not escape hell. Is this not also the vengeance of God? This message gives us a lead to be aware of the things we do,  because God will judge all unrighteousness.

Christians and all God loving people are not to avenge for themselves,  because God said to His people :

“To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.  (Deut. 32:35).

Many godless people count this  “sit and watch and pray”  as a weakness on the part of the christian. God’s people always refrain from violence or unjust actions and some call them cowards.

God will visit these people  who have made it a vocation or career  to be out to kill people who are going about their lawful business. Israel as a nation has consistently said, “We will defend ourselves”  and this they have done right from the time of Moses.

“God calls godless people His enemies”, and here He said:

“If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me. (Duet. 32:41)

Those who hate God are His enemies often referred to as sinners and He has a plan against them if they will not  repent. Going to church and coming out of it, is not repentance, but doing the will of the Father counts much. We must struggle to separate ourselves from this ontoward generation of people. And Jesus said,

“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels”. (Mark 8:38)

Today many nations and people rejoice when they kill innocent people, but God has a plan in the same scriptures as He says :

“Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people”. (Deuteronomy 32:43).

When God called Abraham He said to him

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed”. (Genesis 12:3).

As God led the children of Israel back to Canaan, He said these encouraging words to them:

Reading from Exodus Chapter 23

23:20  Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

23:21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

23:22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

God is never equivocal on every thing He has for the faithful. The same promise to the Jews has come to the gentiles through Jesus work on Calvary.

If we obey God our adversaries have become His adversaries. Let the people of this world rage in uncalled anger, kill our loved christian brethren from  various nations, who have done them no evil, only that they are  worshiping the Amihhty God, we note God has a plan against them as He has said:

“If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me. (Deuteronomy 32:41).

MY CRY BEFORE THE LORD

I had cried most often when I read or note the  injustice people in different nations are doing, how elected leaders are killing other tribes in their land in what they call ethnic cleansing. Yet these people voted them into power expecting compassion and good governance. I have been depressed several days in a row,  as we hear of heartlessness of men to God’s created people.

In this complaint to God I feared if I have not provoked Him by thinking He has handed His people to the wicked.

I want to use today’s message to encourage all people of God,  who read this sermon,  to know God has not handed His people to the world.

Early this year, contemplating in what God is doing from the beginning, I came up with a book ” Never Known God This Way”. No event is a mistake before God, was the summary of the book. You can subscribe for a copy. An ugly event works the purpose of God at all times. Meditate on this statement and you may have a glimpse of God’s mysteries.

God will avenge for people suffering,  because of  His Word. Let the infidels, who shed blood as what makes them to be righteous to know that God is waiting for them on the highway here and after dealing with them will also consign them to hell.

Amen.

Thank you for reading through and may God help you to remain steadfast in Him. God’s people will never be vanguished by the wicked. It is God, who we must fear,  not these temporary wicked beings as scripture speaks about them  through Jesus:

10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:28-31)

Amen.
