Miracle Valley Sermon January 26th 2020.
Delay in a layman’s thinking will mean not acting in time. It could also mean not doing something when it ought to be done and wanting to do it later.
Delay could mean procrastination, or taking longer time to finish an assignment.
Which ever form it takes too bad.
This could happen when people say there is still time. Delay could be a lazy person’s stock in trade.
Yes we can control time to be in time, but we do not have all the will power over time. So work on time and let God do for you the best to achieve after judging your commitment.
THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS.
This parable runs from Matt 25 : 1 – 13, but we will specify the verses below.
Of the ten virgins, five were wise and five foolish. The wise ones took extra oil and the foolish ones came to beg oil as they ran out of oil.
Read from:
Matt. 25:10 : And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Matt. 25:11 : Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Matt. 25:12 : But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Matt. 25:13 : Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
This is time for evangelism.
If you have to witmess to anyone, please do it at the correct time. If you have any adjustment to make in your own life, do it at the correct time. There is virtually no time sometimes for anyone as we might imagine to witness to his neighbour.
Read this :
“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:” (Isaiah 55 : 6).
SALVATION IS GETTING NEARER EACH DAY.
Many are getting revelations about the rapture. All these revelations are talking about the reality of the rapture and not the date of Christ’s return. Christ did not tell us when He will come back but He said His return will be like a thief in the night.
Note this from Matt. Chapter 24 and reading from :
24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
It could come in surprise, even when those who are seeing this vision of the rapture have gone. This vision could be fulfilled in decades ahead, and it could happen just now,
But the truth is that their own rapture has occurred, and are waiting for the return of Christ for the final airborne.
Read from Romans 13 : 11 – 14 :
13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
ATIME FOR PERSONAL INTERCESSION
Read Psalm 27 : 9:
“Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. (Psalm 27 : 9).
The bridegroom shut the virgins out in anger as we had read above. We must know that they were virgins. So they were probably holy, but they never had extra oil, zeal, or preparedness, for the return of the master. They may have lived as ordinary people, lacking in prayer life.
The Holy Ghost might not be burning in their lives. Let us never quench the Spirit.
We must try to be independent children of God. Dependence on the annointing of others might fail anyone , we might need the fire in someone, when no one will be willing to share his or her own fire with us.
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; (Revelation 3 : 7).
God lets us us know that He is the one who could shut a door or close it and no one can do nothing. However ,the church in Philadelphia were faithful and God made them promises. Let us be given such promise.
Note :
3:8 : I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
3:10 : 8 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (Revelation 3 : 8,10 – 11)
IN CONCLUSION, LET US NEVER RESCHEDULE ANYTHING THAT WE MUST DO NOW IF IT TOUCHES ON OUR SALVATION. THIS WORLD IS GETTING TOO OLD AND THE LORD GOD MIGHT SOON WANT TO GIVE US THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH. WHY DELAY?
