PROLOGUE :
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: (Job 19:25)
This could be futuristic, but this is also is a present testimony of Job in his situation.
He believed he will be healed no .matter.his bodily situation.
Those who truely serve the.Lord acknowledge Him in whatever state they find themselves.
Job did not know the source of His sufferings. In his time, the world would have been a wilderness. After bemoaning his ugly situation he rose up with the above courage.
A WIDE WORLD IN CONFUSION.
Today it is possible to point fingers at suspected enemies. People would have lived without near neighbors those days.
Only God was their near kinsmen.
Call Upon Me In Days Of Trouble.
The word of God tells us to call upon Him in time of trouble.. So even in our crowded world our suspicion may be wrong for you may not know your foes.
Attacks in those days were physical and people see their enemies come against them and they may not be prepared. So the faithful ones in those days called upon the Lord.
God had said :
“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalm 50: 15).
In our present time we must have the same mind.
The Lord knows, we will have trouble and that is why He asked us to call on Him Him in the day of such troubles. He also left us with a promise that He will answer us.
Men of old recognised, they will call God in the day of trouble and He will answer them. This must be based on their experience of what He does for them.
” In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.”
(Psalm 86:7).
Let us shout Haleluyah.
Job in the day of trouble cursed the day he was conceived or born.
His wife rejected and mocked his confidence in God. Did Job pray to to be healed?
Job cursed the Day He was born.
“After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
Job 3:2 : And Job spake, and said,
3:3 Let the day perish wherein I was born,
and the night in which it was said,
There is a man child conceived.
3:4 Let that day be darkness; let not
God regard it from above, neither
let the light shine upon it. Job 3 : 1 – 4.
In great anguish men say many things.
It was later in Job 19:25 that Job was
inspired to attest that his redeemer liveth.
This should be the ultimate in trouble times.
In great desperation Elijah asked God
to call Him home and God did.
READ THIS:
19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
19:15 And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:
19:16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.
(1 Kings 19 : 4 , 15 – 16).
LET US ASK FOR DELIVERANCE IN TIME OF TROUBLE.
There are troubles all over the world and people of God often see trouble naked.
Only living souls see trouble not the dead.
Elijah saw trouble, Job did, and Paul the Apostle did. I do not know your experience, but do not forget what the Bible said,
” He is a a present help in time of trouble.”
46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;” (Psalm 46 : 1- 2).
Let us handle any trouble with faith.
Let us comfort ourselves with these words and let us be positive in times of desperation and that is part of our faith.
God is at hand – Amen.
May the Lord God bless your day.
