Good morning brethren or at what ever time you listen to the audio or read the message, I greet you in the name of Jesus the risen Lord. Inspite of the global pandemic, we live today, because He liveth. We give God all the glory. May these few words of exaltation bless you as it encourages you Amen.
For an introduction, read the following verses:
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8 : 28 – 32).
THE MESSAGE.
Who then can be against us?
The Lord names the adversary in the following Bible verse to leave this caution for us:
5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1Peter 5 : 8).
So Satan the devil is the adversary and he can enter human beings through insects , diseases etc. to fight humanity. But God has cursed the adversary for our sakes. He shall therefore not prosper.
Note these readings also :
(1) 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16 : 33.)
Jesus tells us He has overcome the world for us, so we can cheer up.
(2) 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5 : 4 – 5).
Believing in Jesus gives us overcoming power, because He has overcome the world.
Jesus calls us to Himself by the reading in John 3 :16, to those He loves and those who will accept His call.
WHAT IS THE LOVE OF GOD?
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3 :16).
The love of God is that we should not perish but should have eternal life.
While here on earth He leads them by His love to be overcomers of the adversary , satan the devil. If He has loved us first, we must reciprocate His love and satan the devil who is the adversary will have no occasion over us.
Who can separate us from this love of God? By accepting His word we have died with Him, buried with Him and risen with Him figuratively and the life which we live is no longer ours, but He lives in us. The life of a child of God is hidden in Christ.
Note this exaltation :
8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8 : 35 – 39).
We should be encouraged to know that from the above verses, that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Nothing on this earth or things yet to come will be able to separate us from the love of God so long we are in Him through faith.
THE ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN CANNOT SEPARATE US, FROM THE LOVE OF GOD.
Your accusers shall have no ground on their accusations. When the enemy comes up he must have an accusation often based on their personal grudges, not linked to any genuine offence. These accusers shall fail as they failed in times past even against Paul the apostle. Know ye not that God is watching over you and your beloved ones?
Pestilences shall fail for our sake.
Note this :
25:18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed: (Acts 25 : 8)
This was the verdict of Festus when the Jews brought Paul for judgement.
We must realise this fact that it is only God that justifieth : “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. (Romans 8 : 33).
Your enemies can scheme all sorts of evil against you and in this respect the followers of Jesus, only God has the final say. You should be encouraged by scriptures, because God has said ” My words shall not return void”.
Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. (Isaiah 55 11).
God’s word concerning us shall not return void and shall prosper in all what God sends it to do for us, who have believed and those who will in future believe in Him.
