Every human being has a plan. Most of the time all the plans of man is how to succeed in our ventures, whether it is in an evil venture or a good one. And when people succeed they celebrate it.
God has a grand plan for all creation and that plan is to give to man eternal life. This is central in the mind of God towards creation. All His creation should therefore tie their plans towards the plan of God towards them.
Every other thing God has for man on this earth are temporary, designed to cushion a peaceful stay of people on this earth waiting for eternity.
When people plan to do good to people they call it a proposition or proposal, because they quite understand that it could fail, because man Is not in control of the future. God’s plans are sure as His Words will surely come to pass.
Note these sure promises of God:
What is the plan :
10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10 : 28).
Did Christ confirm this in other words:
6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6: 33).
There is a kingdom to seek for. It is the foundation and all other things will be added. These other things are material things.
THERE IS A CONDITION, SO IT IS NOT FOR EVERY BODY.
We need to be born again to receive this kingdom. A man who is not born again can have many other things, but not the kingdom of God.
3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3 : 3).
He therefore calls for repentance to fit into that plan. A man cannot be born again until he is a repented person.
3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 3 : 2.).
FOUNDATION OF OUR SAFETY ARE IN HIS NAMES.
God has so many names. A good number talk of His sovereignty, of His Eternal Existence, His Majesty or Omini-nature.
However, there are names of God that relate to how He cares for us. We will deal with them here. A great human being, call such a mighty man, can promise you many things, but cannot tell you he would champion all your cares. God is a champion of champions.
- God said to me and you I am your Healer (Jehovah Rapha). Exodus 15 : 26 –
15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
(Exodus 15 : 26)
The choice is yours and to all of us.
- He said to us : “I am your provider” (Jehovah Jireh)
22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. (Genesis 22 : 14).
When there is the need God will provide. There will be no lack.
- He saith to us that he is the commander of the hosts of heaven and by that He is our warrior.
24:10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. (Psalm 24 : 10)
- He saith to us that He dwells in the midst of His oeople . You are not alone, I am not alone Jesus is with me and with you. Right up there in heaven ” He is Jehovah Shamma”.
48:30 And these are the goings out of the city on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures.
48:31 And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
48:35 It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there. (Ezekiel 48 : 30-31,35).
The kingdom which God has promised in eternity is one thousand five hundred miles long, wide and high. This is by simple msthematics.
- He saith to us “I am your shepherd”. He is Jehovah Raah .
23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalm 23 :1).
He takes us to the Rivers of water and the best of grazing fields. We shall not lack.
- He says He is our ” peace “, and we shall not die.
6:23 And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.
6:24 Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. (Judges 6 : 23 -24).
We serve a living God, who has promised us eternal life in His Kingdom and while on this earth He protects us by His names.
Let us endeavour to be in His unfailing plan. All Christians should not allow the temporary things to rob them of heaven.
Reason on this closing admonition :
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
