Human beings always strive for new things. Our first parents desired the fruit that will make them wise and once they tasted it , they came to the realisation that they were naked.
That was a thing they got to know and that brought death to the world.
Even in this present world when we develop one knowledge, it leads us to discover there are several things we do not know. So the scientists keep researching and implementing discoveries and later discard old ones for the new and further vexed by the new they have just produced.
God created man once and there has been no change in human features and the life processes from beginning have not changed.
The trees, our domestic animals grass of the field, our food crops, all the seas, oceans, rivers and the inhabitants in them , those of them we know and those of them we do not know, have remained the same no change.
Modernism began in Germany about 1957 and since then, the old time religion which was good for Paul and Silas is no longer good for modern man.
Modernism has spread like wild fire and many nations and peoples have been engulfed in its inferno like hell. Many are dying also in pursuit of modernism.
Today many nations are setting aside the Bible, some want to rewrite the Bible to provide their own version, which will permit their cravings for several sinful indulgences.
We must know that the Bible is an inspired book written by authors of varying backgrounds, who never knew each other, yet none contradicted the other.
Such a book must be an extraordinary compilation and should come only from God.
Now one man wants to gather a group of self acclaimed people to write a new bible for the modern man inspired by people created by God, to have a book better than that given by God, even the ten commandments given by God Himself to Moses on Mount Sinai.
God is watching His creatures. God told us in scriptures and we know Him as this :
(i) the ancient of days and (ii) who said ” I change not. ”
Even before modernism began in Germany, there are antecedents in the Bible.
Read the following Scriptures :
(1) EZEKIEL 18 : 28 – 30.
18:28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
18:29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. ( Ezekiel 18 : 18 -30).
Some do not want to turn away from their sins, they say the way of God is hard. This is the reason why today many anti-God and anti-Christ are resisting the Gospel. God promised Israel gravel in their rice and Bible history has the evidence. This judgement, will not be different for this world, except there is repentance.
(ii) Jeremiah 44 :17
44:17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil. (Jeremiah 44 : 17).
The children of God in the time of Jeremiah said they will do what comes from their own mouth. They also said they have much to eat since they began to worship the Queen of heaven. In modern life members the cults prefer their ways, which gives them what they feel God will not give them.
Read Jeremiah 44 : 21 – 30.
God in this respect promised them gravel in their rice also. The words of God abides in all generations.
WHAT EVER MOVEMENT YOU SEE TODAY, SHALL BE TESTED BY THE WORD OF GOD. MANY SHALL PAY THE PRICE OF UNBELIEF WHICH COMES IN DISAPPOINTMENTS HERE ON EARTH AND FINALLY HELL FIRE.
Note how Jesus concluded the unbelief of the children of Israel:
12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. (MATT. 12 : 42).
In the same vein many people have come from afar, to hear the word of God, but many who heard and even tasted the truth of God, have turned to be reprobates, casting aspersions on the Word of God which they in afforetimes believed in.
They will not escape the judgement, unless they repent.
