A Miracle Valley Sermon 10th April, 2022.
Take home message for today:
What are mountains of vanity?
They could be any of, or a combination of these :
houses, cars, jet aircrafts money in banks or in vaults, industries, philosophies and teachings given to the people and for some, it could be an accumulation of women or men.
Let the wise consider the activities of this life as vanity and prepare for that which must come. Let the thoughts of people be focussed unto the Lord as the utmost reality.
And Jesus said :
24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, (Matthew. 24 :38).
The Bible did not say those activities of men in the time of Noe were evil, but the thoughtlessness of men, while carrying out those activities, were in sinful manner, without reference to God. Today also the nations are going into space, to touch the heavens, like as it was in in Babel, wealth is gathered through sin, immorality and blood shedding is done with pleasure. Some sinul activities are regarded as acts of shccess.
But as in the time of Noe, when he entered the Ark, the floods came and all living beings perished, including the works of their hands. Such a time as that in the days of Noe, will have its repeat in this Godless world.
And Solomon the wise man said :
1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. (Ecclesiastes 1 :14).
And Solomon further said:
2:11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 2 ::11).
Until human beings begin to see their works with the eye of Solomon the highest frustration awaits all men. What people call success is often quite wrong. True success should be the fear of God.
NOTE THIS :
And so all the vanities of this life, are summarized in the activities of men revealed in the following words of Paul writing in the book of 2 Timothy:
3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Timothy 3 : 1 – 4)
These last days are with us. You should take the above as a personal message to you. There will be great devastation. While men live, they will keep building mountains of vanity.

And in conclusion the scriptures gives this verdict :
51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. (Isaiah 51: 6).
In all respects, when the heavens vanish , all the great empires, the great kingdoms, the men of valour, and the final decision makers across the earth will vanish. But God says His salvation shall be for ever and His righteousness shall not be abolished.
ARE YOU ON THE LORD’S SIDE? IF SO, YOUR WORKS ARE NOT VANITY, BUT DONE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SHALL BE ESTABLISED IN ETERNITY.
PRAYER:
Oh! Lord God, never let the works of my hands on earth to be acts of vanity in Jesus name Amen. Let me be established in You for ever. Amen.
