The warning :
Prostitutes work for hire and are never faithful to one man. Hirelings work for hire and for their belly and cannot be faithful to God. God is not interested in any of them.
The message now.
The sermon of today will focus our mind to the way of prostitutes and let us never be such. The prostitute described in the message are not of men and women in dirty sex life. We are talking of prostitutes in service to GOd and man.
God was anmoyed with Israel for getting into idolatry and He regarded them as prostitutes.
Are you a prostitute in the ways of grace and virtue. There is high level Insincerity in the life of prostitutes.
God will not accept tithes paid by prostitutes from their unholy life. God will not accept tithes paid out of dirty money or from trafficking in blood or cultism.
God will not accept tithes paid out price of a dog.
The Bible tells us that in every thing let us do it as unto the Lord.
Read this:
10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: (1 Corinthians 10 : 31 – 32).
Prostitutes in the things of Grace do nothing to the glory of God, but work to derive material benefits.
When we talk of hirelings, we are talking pf prostitutes in the vineyard of the Lord.
Hirelings are never thinking of heaven as prostitutes never think of building a home with any man. They jump from one man to another not just for pleasure, but to receive benefits of money.
So also the hireling will not be a steward of the things of God, because he works for his belly
10:13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. (John 10 : 13).
My message today should give us some direction :
“whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
Now brethren note these:
If you work in any organisation be faithful to the organisation’s philosophy so long you work for pay. Do not be of eye service, because God is not interested when you do so.
All what makes for righteousness, is how we relate with people, whether in the office or at home.
Our service to God must not be hypocritical ortherwise we have become unrighteous altogether.
We must be faithful or we are like allegorical Gomer in the book of Hosea.
Read this:
1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son. (Hosea 1 : 2 – 3).
God did not ask Hosea to marry a harlot Gomer, because he approves harlotry, but God in sympathy was willing to forgive His people in idolatry just as a man can forgive a wayward wife.
If you are are a prostitute in the things pf virtue God will forgive you if He finds genuine repentance in you.
We must never continue in sinful habits, because we perceive in our hearts that God will always forgive repentant people. God has all the time to do what He wants to do, but men do not have all the time to repent from their sins.
Sometimes people in elevated positions in holy places, easily and unknowingly become guilty before the Lord. They are often very presumptous of their godliness and service, which might be faulty before God.
My prayer with us today.
Lord God Almighty, never allow us to live as prostitutes in the midst of so great grace. AMEN.
