When God makes a promise He remains faithful to it.
CAVEAT FOR THE MOMENT:
That He has promised to judge sin and to reward faithfulness wiil never fail.
NOTE:
3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3 : 8 – 9)
This is a very important biblical quotation. To be slack may be a reflection of inability to complete an assignment. We see it as delay, when God does not give us what we ask for urgently, those things we have prayed for. We also do not see Him coming quickly to judge the world.
It may appear long time since many things were prophesied in scriptures and we see them not happening. God does not reckon on time the way human beings do. God lives in a timeless realm, so He is infinite. Human beings live on time on earth , until we get into eternity. Howbeit, God will execute all His programs without fail.
So it is possible that what we call years are seconds or moments in the sight of God.
God promised to judge the World and we have began to think He is not coming quickly. or that it will never happen.
God promised to judge the first world, but things went on as usual, including all dimensions of wickedness. So before that judgement of God, people were marrying and giving to marriage, some were looking for positions of rule, until the deluge came and awept away all flesh.
As it is today, men are grabbing all things, some have gone fetish to obtain what they want rightly or wrongly.
Many have blasphemed the name of God, but things keep going on as usual.
God is not slack in His promise to judge the world or to bless you.
I often say this “God Is never in a hurry”, to do anything.
He does not act under any constraint.
GOD’S TIME MUST COME WHEN IT WILL COME.
Read this:
3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter 3 : 10).
Earthquakes do not give warning, it can occur anywhere, even where it never occured before, neither will tsunamis give warming, therefore we must be mindful and never talk or walk carelesslly, for the careless statements of men and activitues, will be brought to judgement.
Note these words spoken by Jesus :
12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. (Matthew 12 : 36 – 37).
Note :
The recent tsunami in Brazil is the judgement of God.
People talk anyhow, not minding the fact that while they live, they are not more than a shadow that appears and disappears.
DO NOT JOIN MEN OF THIS WORLD, WHO PROVOKE GOD, WHETHER IN THE POLITICAL ARENA, IN THE CHURCHES, IN PUBLIC PLACES, OR SECRET LIFE, OR IN THE FAMILY, FOR NOT LONG HEREAFTER MANY PEOPLE WILL BE HISTORY.
And for you child of God, let the following scriptures guide you in this life, for this life is just a day at a time, just like when we sleep and remember nothing here, until we wake up again.
All the boasts of the wiicked shall be vainglory.
Read :
10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10 : 35 -39).
TIME IS A BIG MANAGER, WHICH THE STRONGEST OF MEN NEVER CONQUERED, WHEN IT STRUCK, BOTH THE WEAK, THE POOR THE STONG MAN, GREAT MEN IN THE FINANCIAL WORLD ARE MISERABLE BEFORE TIME.
Child of God stand strong in the Lord, do not throw away your confidence in God, because of all the events around you in this world, remain faithful doing good , time is a big manager of them all , God will come to bless and will not tarry.
