Read these from 2 Tim. 3
3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
(2 Timothy 3 : 1 – 5).
We should not forget that these people mentioned in the endtime scenarios are likely members of the church world wide. The epistles were not addressed to the heathens, but were letters to the churches. Please let us note this in context, even though the entire humanity are arrowed.
So many are suffering today because of their involment in one or more of the above The servant of God Apostle Peter said “if we suffer while doing good, God is glorified.
The scripture is often concerned with members of the church and for this it is said:
1 Peter 4:17 “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
I want to mention a few things with respect to this message :
(1) Satan is a liar and is recruiting many liars to promote his vision. This is a serious endtime matter.
A person in the church who is hooked to any of the end time life styles, is a liar. It is important that church leaders should emphasise holiness, instead of church population. If money and population are the essential matter, we must note that we are gathering together hell bound people for the day of Judgement.
Most people in the modern church are financially robust and to keep them and collect offerings and talk less of their sins will matter to some preachers.
(2) Too many liars are framing up people to strengthen lies and make gains out of it (2 Tim.3:4).
(3) Satan remains an accuser of the faithful.
(4) Testifying as a witness while not at the scene of the event.
The Psalmist had said:
116:11 “I said in my haste, All men are liars”. (Psalm 116 : 11).
They could be a generation of people, in our world, who are liars, such as given below.

(i) 1:12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; (Titus 1 : 12 – 13).
(ii) The Jews claimed they are children of Abraham and Christ said to them:
Read from John 8:1 :
8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. John 8 : 41 – 42, and 44).
Those who said they were Abraham’s sons but were not are liars. They were the devil’s children and not Abraham.
Jesus warned of this kind of time in Matt. 24.
The disciples were asking to know the signs of the end and Jesus among others highlighted the following:
24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (Matthew 24 : 7 – 8 ,11).
This is another dimension of what Paul wrote to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3 : 1 – 5).
Christ spoke of the global order in the above, while in 2 Timothy 3 : 1 – 5, scripture spoke about changes in persons at the end time.
