In the dialogue that led to Jesus healing the man that was born blind Jesus said :
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9 : 4).
Believers must realize the fact that their time on earth is very limited.
Worshipping God has been turned to entertainment in many places. Some are paid to play drums in the church on sunday and that is why the person is playing the drum.
IF PRAISING GOD IS A GIFT FROM GOD, WHY RECEIVE A GIFT FOR THAT TO BE DONE?
Such entertainment worshippers, do not have any blessing or reward from the Lord God ,for they have been paid by those who hired them.
Jesus healed the man born blind (Read John 9 : 1 – 8) and in this process He said He must do the work of He that sent Him while it is day for the night cometh when no man can work.
To preach the gospel and bring deliverance to the oppressed was the reason for His coming.
Read Luke 4 : 18.
To finish that work was of great concern to Jesus and He recognized He had limited time.
He did not haggle for reward before He can give the man born blind back his sight.
And Peter said :
“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” (Acts 3 : 6).
Peter had a critical time to give that which he had. There was no time to ask the cripple to sow seed.
In all these instances, we must learn that we should never allow money to manage us in the ministry of the Lord, but we must manage money. If you allow money to manage you, then you are money’s servant or it’s slave. Let money be your servant.
Those who do not finish the work assigned to them will not have reward.
Let no man allow distractions for gain (money) or pleasure (lust), to cause him to have left over work, when the night comes. The Lord is coming with the reward of eternal life.
The time is coming when no man can work.
Jesus knew He will get out of this earth back to the Father. To Him that time is night, but then was the day, as He was with them on this earth.
TO ME AND TO YOU :
We have the day time, as we live. We must never have an uncompleted work.
Prayer :
Grant me grace oh! Lord to work while it is day, in Jesus name Amen.
