Miracle Valley Sermon 25th June 2023.
12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)KJV, NKJV says ” Moses was very humble….. ” (Numbers 12 : 3).
And Paul said :
12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (2 Corinthians 12 : 10).
Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ was endowed with great power from the Lord.
God had to put a control mechanism in his flesh to tame his pride. How many people will accept to serve God with problems?
One of my General Overseers told me this and he said son: ” those whose blessings are delayed , their lives are prolonged”.
And Paul prayed three times to the Lord to remove that thorn in the flesh, but the Lord refused to grant the prayer and told him “my grace is SUFFICIENT for you:”
Now read the following as Paul spoke:
12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
THE PROBLEM OF GREATNESS :
Many great people in the Lord’s vineyard who have not received such stopper in the flesh may remain braggarts to hell.
So great was Paul, but he was restrained by the Lord that he should never boast. God put some problem around him that checkmated his pride.
He prayed, but God did not remove the thorn in his flesh that it may follow him all through his service to the Lord.
Continue 2 Corinthians :
12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
(2 Corinthians 12 :8 – 10)
Some great men of God know this.
Some are limited by sickness: they pray for people and they are healed, yet they cannot pray for thenselves to be healed.
They pray for financial blessings on people and they prosper, yet they go on crying yet not living in excess of material things.
Paul of course understood the doing of the Lord and said ” I take glory in my infirmities.”
May God grant His people the wisdom to understand His ways. There are many people who have gone out on their way to get what they want, because they cannot live in the chain of the Lord.
Many have died prematurely in pursuing money and fame, and some have lost their anointing and become nothing.
Jesus told us :
11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11 : 29 – 30).
Let every child of God desire the grace of God, because it has the power and is sufficient to lead us gracefully among the other men of God unto eternity.
Grace will lift up the humble. Paul joyfully accepted the infirmity.
OUR PRAYER TODAY FROM PAUL
20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. (Acts 20 : 32)
