KNOWING GOD DEEPLY FACILITATES THE ROAD TO HEAVEN.
Could you be a friend to whom you are not intimate to? Could such a person rely on you if you do not touch his heart?
Some riddles:
**There are many drivers without high way code. If they did not have it, how could they have read it. Yet some have driving licence.
If they do not read it, there is no way they will not run into trouble with traffic officials.
**If I ask some people whether they have a Bible some will say no. Yet they are christians.
So they go to church, listen to the pastor, without checking and go home with nothing except what they could remember and for how long will they remember.
The Bible in your hand is a help mate, to refer to and for you to do your Bible Study.
It will help you know more of God, the reason why you go to church.
Note these :
(1) And Jesus said :
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39 KJV
(2) Jesus also said :
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me” Matthew 11:29.
Here Jesus invites weary and burdened people to find rest by following him and learning from his gentle and humble heart.
How can you learn from someone you do not know or see? In Scripture the Lord said to Moses, no one can see me and live. Surely,that is true.
Jesus was speaking physically here.. He is saying to us today like as He was saying to the people ” take my yoke and learn from me”.
A yoke is like a control used in restricting animals from walking into disallowed areas.
The yoke is your Bible, this is your high way code as a driver. If you have no high way code you will break rules and get into trouble.
If you have no Bible you will sin and by disobeying God you will loose your savation.
A man who does not study his high way code as a driver, is not different from a person, who does not have it.
A person who does not read his bible is not also different from a person who does not have it.
Some people are prayer warriors , when they pray there is earthquake. They may occasionally have answers,but without reading the Bible, could they not pray amiss and is it not possible for them to get out of the will of God, due to ignorance of the Word?
Be reminded here that Jesus said :
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39 KJV
The Bible builds deeper relationship between God and man. The Bible talks of eternal life and how can we have eternal life if we do not internalise the Bible which is the road map to God?
Therfore, possess the Bible, read it and share it.
Prayer :
I want to have eternal life , Lord save my soul. Lord teach me your principles deeply in my hours of meditation. Lead me into spirittual dimensions of your Word.
