CHRISTMASS ALWAYS LOOKING NEW.

A Miracle Valley message December , 22nd 2019.

Prologue :

In this world everything waxes old. People are born and grow old and die. Trees sprout out  grow and wither.  Nations rise to power and are overtaken by new  nations. Kings are crowned and over time the crown fades away and others come on board . How many of such things that rise and fall must I recount?

But note this story which lives with us ,  which I learnt in my primary school days, which goes this way :

Oh tell me the story that never grows old,

Ne’er grows old.

The story of Jesus never grows old (2ce)

Never grows old

That of Jesus , never grows old.

Do you see the always New about Christ?

The Message :

Of all  the religious faiths in  the world, Christianity,  which comes after Christ never grows old. Of all the religious faiths Christianity has faced the greatest persecution, even among themselves as Christians : within  family members, ethnic nationalities, tribes and tongues. Notwithstanding these differences,  the faith has remained a wild fire that cannot be quenched, until it has taken toll and continues to widen.

And its effect will continue to the end of time, when all other faiths and their adherents will be no more.

At the advent of Jesus ,  it is good to deeply note the words of the angels:

2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:14).

And after 2015 years of the birth of Christ this year,  ( Christ was born AD 4, when Quirinius was governor of Syria) the glory that followed His birth is still  over the earth and men extending are extending various forms of goodwill among themselves, at this season chosen  to celebrate His birth. It is a birthday celebrated by nearly all nationalities on  earth.

It is climaxed by “peace” or Shalom. Peace and good will are two undeniable issues every man needs to grow and achieve success or have the time to worship God.

Christ brought peace and good will, even though the wicked hearts of men keep scuttling it. In all of it,  men live with the pains of scuttled harmony.

May the peace and goodwill continue to bless lives. Incidentally most people have used the peace time to create disharmony.

A time to celebrate Christ’s advent should also be a time to remenber that He will, come back again. It is time to make resolutions to live in peace with God. To live at peace with God does not suggest we can threaten Him, but a time like this is when to make resolutions to serve or simply obey Him. This is because He is coming again.

Read these words of the angel at this time  as He ascended to heaven:

1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:10-11).

The first coming of Christ was heralded by angels and His ascension was noted by angels keeping us on  the vigil that He is coming again.

So this period should be of a  sober reflection to make us always be on our knees. People are passing away each day and no one knows  who  is next,  so let us spend more time seeking to live with Christ eternally.

People are  settling with their own eternity program daily, even before the eventual return of Christ, His coming at Christmas and His return at the Rapture should concern all men.

Note: His coming at CHRISTMASS and His coming back at RAPTURE, two comings of great significance.

Let there be no acrimony, hate and taking of life as an achievenent at this time.

Let us spend this time with happiness that God has a  plan of eternal life for His children.

God sees all things. Let us not be drunk with power or of our  material  position,  but rather let us take the wine of the spirit of God.

Take this scriptural admonition for this time :

5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:18-21).

The best of love is to do the above things, not sharing food with internal hate and breaking bottles. Let us share our bread with love for that is the will of God concerning us. Let us make this period a time when God will speak to us.

Let us restate the above verses  in our hearts and apply them. May the Almighty God grant us a great future from here unto eternity, Amen.
