COULD A BIG BEGINNING STAND FOR THE BEST AND COULD SMALL BEGINNINGS STAND FOR NOTHING.

___________________________________________

CAUTION :  We may learn easier from little beginnings  than from big things. Little beginnings lay foundation of praise to God in time of success.

____________________________________________

A fact we must note here, is that most big things today had little starting points. There is the tendency for most of us today to  mock our small beginnings.

Big starting points may overshadow the lessons we should  learn, which will govern what the future holds for what we do now.

God’s leading starts better from the scratch and we can see God unfolding the future from what we might have called nothing, due to our unbelief in the faithfulness of God.

And regarding the struggles of Zerubbabel :

4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. (Zechariah 4 : 10)

A REMINDER :

This is a reminder that God sees everything, from every small effort we make to every challenge we face. His divine gaze is on how we serve Him, and our commitment and  His hand guides our work. Just as He saw Zerubbabel and his people’s struggles and commitment, He sees ours too.

What really matters in life is the commitment we put in the service of God. What we see as small achievements, as we start a journey,  would with time manifest into great things,  as we keep our faith and trust in the Lord.

WHAT WERE THE CHALLENGES OF ZERUBBABEL?

The real obstacle was never the enemies outside them, but rather their unbelief, their failure to believe that all the resources they ever needed were in God.

SOME FACTS ABOUT ZERUBBABEL

Zerubbabel  was of Davidic origin : Zerubbabel is thought to have originally been a Babylonian Jew, who returned to Jerusalem at the head of a band of Jewish exiles and became governor of Judaea under the Persians. Influenced by the prophets Haggai and Zechariah, he rebuilt the Temple.

WHAT TO LEARN !

Let us read this short quotation :

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.  (Matthew 11 : 12)

Going to heaven as our  faith in Christ, is becoming a great task these end time days.

You need to struggle to enter by your daily efforts.

In material and spiritual life,  the things which we   do, often get entangled with difficulties. While the devil might be accused along with physical enemies, God wants us to keep up our belief in His coming support. Every trembling feet needs God.

Nothing in salvation is easy, as nothing in material life is easy, but we must note  this :

We must maintain a violent attitude by  faith in  time of hardship to reach the goal. Unbelief has limited  or limiting  many christians in winning the race of life.

Throughout scriptures and in our  current life, we have found or are finding  in several instances,  “that  joy comes in  the morning”, as in the widow of Zarephath, Hannah the mother of Samuel, the  Pilgrim Fathers, who  left England by persecution to discover  America and Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist just to mention a few.

They all started low. Make your choice where to begin, either from the little beginning or from the mountain top.

We even despise our struggles in unbelief just as people despise us,  but latter in life, success comes to counsel us and we celebrate with thanksgiving to God.

Prayer:

Lord God, when the waves soar  high, and we shiver, strengthen our belief, to know you are ever faithful .

Grant us grace to see your faithfulness in Jesus name Amen.
