A sermon for 4th August 2019, from Miracle Valley Gospel Ministries.
Rider : Has God chosen you? If God indeed chose you, may you strive to be used as vessel of honour. Amen.

Prologue :

For every good cause in this world, God will never use just any one. He has His choice of whom to use.
And for evil, God will use a vessel of dishonour. In all this God chooses people to use for good or evil to deal with each situation in this world. Thus nothing happens outside the knowledge of God or His potent. One sure thing, there is reward for every work be it good or evil.
It is never how much you struggle will God use you to fulfil a divine purpose. It is never by might or by power, but by His Spirit.

Read this :
“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4 : 6).
If you are on a good cause approved by God, no matter how formidable it might be, GOD will make a way of success. Amen.
It takes the Spirit of God to achieve divine counsel.
When you live a righteous life GOD could designate you for a good work, but do not forget some have been chosen from their mother’s womb for a divine purpose.

(1) DAVID:
Samuel was sent to the house of Jesse to anoint a king. When Samuel got to the house of Jesse he was overtaken by human mind, to think the first son of Jesse must be the Lord’s elect.
But God told Samuel not to look at his size. because He God has rejected Eliab. This is amazing but real. Read 1 Samuel 16 : 6 – 13.
In some respects God told Samuel ” I have not chosen …..” If God has chosen a man He makes it clear. It is not by size of the frame of a man, does God choose his servants, but by an indwelling spirit. It is not by noise making or by popularity does God choose His servants for great exploits.
Jonathan was a valiant man and from the heart of Saul, he would wish Jonathan as his heir, but God had chosen David and Saul perceived this and did all within his ability to kill David, but failed. Your enemies would wish to kill you, but note that if a man has a divine mandate he will have the grace to bury his enemies in his life time.
16:6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him.16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
God does not see as men see, but God looks at the heart. And God said ” I have found David a man after my heart”.The heart that thinks like God in holiness and righteousness would surely be liked by God to be be suitable for his purpose.
16:8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.16:9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.16:10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.

16:11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

God will send a deliverer to our land and to every family that fears the Lord. If you have an issue in your land, then seek the Lord and He will sooner than expected, send His chosen to deliver His people Amen.
16:12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. (1 Samuel 16 : 6 – 13).
At this time Israel was having issues with the Philistines and David was the ombudsman.
You do not need to force yourself to fulfil God’s purpose, because God chooses people by Himself. In the affairs of men, but people can wield themselves in, but God chooses men.
65:4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. (Psalm 65 : 4).
Is it not amazing that in the midst of extraordinary manifestations of God in our contemporary world many have chosen to be idol worshippers?
1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.1:7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 1 : 4 – 8).
God told Jeremiah that He chose him and sanctified and ordained him from his mother’s womb to be a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah indeed was a great man of God by virtue of God’s anointing and choice. Jeremiah even complained that he was a child and God told him not to say he is a child.and He will tell him what to say.
When God sends a man, he gives him what to do and what to say. Moses complained that he was not quick in speech and God said he will give him Aaron. God provides the power and the grace to accomplish in the lives of those who he has chosen. If God has chosen you lean on Him in all confrontations you come across.
We need to discover God in our lives. If you are chosen by God you cannot hide because anointing will take you to where God needs you.
Jeremiah was ordained a prophet to the nations. He was not limited to Israel, but will bring the word of God to bear on other nations.

But the chosen could be disobedient. God chose Saul, but he decided to go outside the region of his call and God rejected him and anoointed David in his place. Ahab became King, but he and the wife Jezebel did what they liked by going deep into idolatry and God dethroned him and he was succeeded by Jehu.
And there are several examples of God chosing and dethroning people. In life let no.man make himself an idol, because God will not compromise His word. He said it clearly that He will not share His glory with any man. And the Lord said :
” I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images”. (Isaiah 42 : 8).

If the disobedient reign God could use him to punish rebellious people and even then will He God later punish every wicked ruler no .matter whether He used such to accomplish His will . So He did to Pharaoh, who could not let Israel to go and so He dealt with Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon..
Let no man take God for granted, no earthly ruler is too big to escape the mighty judgement of God here on earth even before the final judgement in hell.

You should pity MIGHTY people who do evil with recklessness, for they are smaller than grasshoppers before God who said ” I am He ….”
In life what ever you.may be, respect God because what He said He will do, so He will do. No one can STOP Him, when He stretches His hand.

Both Hitler and Napoleon were great, Idi Amin of Uganda was great also.Their histories were stories of woes and blood shed. Did they ever know they will be history? What type of history?
Any man could become history for good work or evil work. I personally will desire to become history in good things that I have done. You also should aspire to be known for good, for God will bring into judgement every work of men including every secret thing whether they be good or evil.
Read Ecclesiastes 12 :14 ” For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil”.
If you are a mighty man respect God, because you are nothing before Him and He could make you to be forgotten suddenly. Help us Lord so we may be chosen to accomplish things that will benefit all humanity.

Pray this prayer now :
Lord God, do not use me for evil judging me from how you see my life . Lord let the rule of the wicked crumble before us . Let thy will of good governance reign in our midst .May it please You Lord, to use me for good. In Jesus Name Amen.

God bless you the hearer or reader of this sermon and make you a prophet of the nations Amen.
