Christian greetings to all of you in Jesus name Amen.
This message is coming to us today, 18th October 2020, from Miracle Valley Gospel Ministries.
Brethren,
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6 : 63)
This is the Word of Jesus to us.
The flesh is the ordinary man without power, (ordinary man is a cocoon), the spirit of God in a man makes the difference through His Word.
And Jesus said to them , the words which I preach (speak), to you they are spirit and they are life.
We need divine encounter to meet and worship God. God took me to a boy in the realms of the spirit and I asked him “why don’t you join us for bible study?”
He could not give any reason. He was just smiling, I told him “you look fresh, you have no encounter with God.” I told him how Jesus healed me.
Listen to Jesus:
“And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.” (John 6 : 65).
No man can be converted without the hand of God.
The following message here is the outcome of the discussion with the boy.
When you meet people who are lackadaisical over the call to worship, note they have not been caught by the fire. Feel for them! There is little you can do except to witness to people. God makes the differebce.
My healing in 1967, was a divine encounter, it was what drew me to Jesus. To have a genuine conversion there is need for a divine encounter. Any one who encounters Jesus and cannot live and die in Him or for Him is lost for ever.
You need an encounter and that was what I told this boy. If there was no encounter in my life I may not have become a Christian , because I was surrounded by a family of idol worshippers and the members of the front line churches over FIFTY YEARS AGO. I needed to meet God on my way to Danascus and it was certain for me.
To be the member of a church does not make anyone a Christian. There is need for an encounter with God.
Simple conversion is slippery Christianity.
Today there are in the churches, worshippers without an encounter with God and such are the bench warmers, who make up the congregation in the midst of the saints of God in the church hall.
And I had told this boy, you look fresh you need an encountrr with God.
An example of a Divine encounter was noted in Paul the apostle. When he came back to God, he was burning like red fire, under the dark. He was ready to die for Christ. No one can fake encounter, because it cannot be hidden.
All the medicals of this world treat the flesh, Man has not found the drug to heal the spirit. When a man has a sick spirit he does not need drugs, he needs an encounter with God.
Jesus heals, but from the spirit.
That is why we must pray that our sins be forgiven, for that is why in most healings, by Jesus, He said to the sick your sins are forgiven.
THE HEALING OF THE SICK MAN.
Luke Chapter 5 :
5:18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
5:20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
(The Pharisees questioned this forgiving of sins by Jesus)
He said to them:
5:23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
5:25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. ( Luke 5: 18, 20, 23, 25.)
Look at the above extracts from Matthew chapter 5.
Sickness is more spiritual matter than the physical body. Sin also is a spiritual matter than the physical body, even though sin is committed with the body or otherwise.
When there is forgiveness the spirit is healed and this reflects on the outward body. The “man took that whereon he lay and departed to his own house.” Hallelujah !
In all Jesus did not touch this man but He spoke His Word.
A sinner is spiritually sick and for that reason the flesh rules him, yet the life which we desperately need is not in that flesh, but life is in the spirit.
The words we speak sometimes may not have the power, until Jesus comes into that Word and when He enters in that same word we have spoken ordinarily, it carries the power of life.
The Logos or the inscripted word must be transformed to Rhema, or the power behind the word to do miracles, heal the sick, deliver from sin and give breakthroughs, all of these from the same living Word which is Jesus.
So many are healed just by the spoken Word, which God has annointed.
So we receive the annointed Word of God to change situations.
And in the process of this discussion with this boy, I moved into another realm with this song:
Oh! that day,
I will never forget that day,
When Jesus washed my sins away,
When Jesus washed my sins away.
Our sins are washed away on the day we repent from the contrary things we do and invite Jesus into our life. Those who go for baptism sing this sobg.
WHAT IS REPENTANCE?
And Jesus said :
“And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (Mark 1:15).
To believe the Gospel is the foundation of deliverance from sin, a way to healing and all levels of breakthrough in life come through repentance. A repented man is one who has chosen to go to God in obedience , accepts that he has sinned and needs forgiveness at the point of penitence.
Jesus has the power, to do all things, but will not release His power to deliver the sinner, who has not repented from his sins, or has not accepted the Gospel.
Anyone who has not accepted His gospel does not have the grace to receive the deliverance of the Lord. Why ? Because Jesus said to us “the word which I speak to you they are spirit and they are life. The life in the Word, which is Jesus Himself, cannot generate the power to deliver or to heal those who have no faith in it.
Jesus said : ” It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63).
And if we must know this, let us :
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” (John 5:39)
If we must have an encounter with God we have to search the Bible, we need to own the word and it may please God who has foreknowledge of every one to decide to call or reject.
Let this statement not be a puzzle. Have you not heard of pastors who have backslided and visibly went into voodoo? God has rejected them.
THE WORD OF GOD MUST ABIDE IN US.
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (John 15:7).
True encounter comes through the abiding of God’s word in us. Let me tell us that we are used by God’s Word. Jesus is the Word and until the Word abides in us we cannot do exploits.
Just speaking that Word is not the Rhema, but Logos, but it has to be transformed into Jesus for it to carry the miracle, healing and deliverance, which is the Rhema (ACTION) of the Word.
