In the last days!

In the last days iniquities shall abound and the love of many shall grow cold.

Do not be surprised by what is happening in  the world today.They are not events of chance. God had spoken.

THE MESSAGE:

Jesus spotted this as an end time  prophecy and the issues are all over the corner in our time.

The words of Jesus:

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Matthew 24:12)

The gospel according to Matthew says  “because iniquities shall abound” in King James version, and in New King James version , it is translated as  “because lawlessness shall abound”.

All these produce lovelessness.

Read the following :

From 2 Tim. 3:1-3

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,”.

These issues are already with us. And in Rev. 3: 15-16 we note this:

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

This was revealed to John the divine concerning the Church in Laodicea, which is also an  endtime matter,  not only for the church in Laodicea but a reflection of people in the history of the church.

“Lawlessness” or “inequities” :

Jesus revealed these as signs of the end. And speaking in the following verses He said:

Reading from Matthew 24: 6-8

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”.

Are nations not rising against nations. Are there not earthquakes in diverse places. Are there not rumours of wars with the possibility of actual wars?  Is the Middle  East situation not enough warning that the end is approaching?

People are doing what they like. Some nations have chosen a course of violence instead of peace. Can this situation lead to a peaceful neighbourhood?

Is that not lawlessness?. Where a nation that should speak of peaceful neighbourhood, is engaging in weapons  of mass destruction, is love not waxing cold?

Today we note false prophets in the churches, but do we not have false  prophets by the activities of some faiths, who say their leaders have told them to kill those who are not members of their faith?

Jesus unveiled:

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (Matthew 24:11).

You must be careful of your life, concerning those who specialise in prophecies and miracles. These activities  are ministerial gifts but the main agenda is:

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”. (Matthew 28:20).

Today people are selling prophecies: it makes sense to collect money, some are selling prayers, after all the prophet must eat food. Most often popularity comes from these actions,  so much so that those  who teach people to observe God’s word as instructed by Jesus are seen as powerless pastors. Many a time to gain this power some have gone underground and not  looked  up for power from God.

Let us ask God to teach us the way we must go. Let us know that iniquities shall abound. When we notice this happening here and there, let us not be surprised. We have been told about  this already. We are aware of what is happening in the Middle East where money are given  to terrorists to kill innocent people both adults and children. People openly admit the acts of lawlessness as if the nations no longer have laws concerning life. The United Nations are  no longer  protectors of life and property. Powerful leaders take the lives of their citizens at their own discretion. All these are lawlessness.

Let us observe the cardinal duty given to us by Christ which sets up the teaching ministry. An educated christian in God’s word has the chances for obeying God and going to heaven.

The days are evil and are numbered.
