LIFE IS LIKE A WILDERNESS JOURNEY.

QUICK NOTE:

There is no paradise on earth. Even the great men of valour, there are  times in their lives,  when they are low,  both morally and physically. Only God is above all disasters, for humanity has not conquered disaster.

LIFE IS LIKE A WILDERNESS JOURNEY.

Life is like a wilderness journey. When the children of Israel left Egypt and were on their way to the promised land they never knew what was on their  way.

So me and you cannot know what is on the way of our journey in this life, but God knows full well.

The Israelites had just crossed the Red Sea and would have taken a deep breath of relief until they got to Marah.

They could not drink the water at Marah, because it was not sweet. The water was bitter.

This is  exactly like what human beings go through on earth.

We never know what we will come across, as we move on in this life. We need to follow the  Lord God on our daily journey with prayer. He knows the way. Do you know that Israel crossed two waters:

(1) the Red Sea  (Exodus 14 : 12 – 16) ; and

(2) River Jordan  (Joshua 3 : 11 – 16).

These were challenges  they did not expect,

Let us continue and read this :

15:23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

15:25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them. (Exodus 15 : 23 – 25).

When ever God does a great thing for you try to put a landmark. Many will walk away as if nothing happened.

HUMAN BEINGS ARE SPECIALISTS IN COMPLAINTS.

Yesterday things went well and we jubilated. Today things are not rosy and we cry and murmur. God gave them sweet water, at Marah and this Word came to them :

15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. (Exodus 15 : 26).

As God healed the water at Marah , so also He will heal all the diseases of His children. That water at Marah was sick, it needed healing. God  expects only obedience from us to have things go well for us on this wilderness journey.

God has said :

“I am the Lord that healeth thee”, and this  is the greatest promise of God to man on physical earth.

WHY?

Sickness is the highest problem of man on physical earth,  because it comes often like a robber, with serious devastations sometimes. When  a person falls sick, nothing on earth is pleasant, even the most delicious food may look like dung.

In such circumstances we see the emptiness of the man who beat his chest yesterday and even threatened his enemies, including the weak ones around him.

When difficult times come,  we must take solace in God as our JehovahNissi, “our refuge”, with thankfulness and prayer Amen.

There is no paradise on earth. Even the great men of valour, there are times when they are low,  both morally and physically, only God is above all disasters, humanity has not conquered disaster.

GOOD DAYS ARE AHEAD OF FAITHFUL PEOPLE.

14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

(Exodus 14 :13).

As God told the Israelites to wait and they  shall see the salvation  of the Lord, in hard situations let us wait for the Lord.

15:27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.( Exodus 15 : 27)

If we we endure, we shall see the salvation of the Lord. We shall see our Elim.

Praise God.

We shall be comforted at all tines to behold the goodness of the Lord, so long we live by His commandments.

Thank you Jesus for your promises.
