OUR BLESSINGS CANNOT BE FOR ANOTHER

All pronouncements on people for good do count. May we be blessed by the pronouncements of people at the right time .

May God never allow the pronouncement of blessings meant for you be said on another person Amen.

Each time the pastor says God bless you the voice can be approved by God. Such blessings could keep building up in  your favour unknowingly to you. When the curse comes from the ordained, it may come unless God intervenes.

When you do one good work and your father or mother puts a blessing on it,  do not take it for granted.

The voice of holy men of God can bring you closer to your destiny.

And Isaac said to Jacob:

27:27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:

27:28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

27:29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee. (Genesis 27 : 27 – 29).

This was the change of the destiny of Esau. Esau was seemingly the favourite of Isaac, but in the design of God Esau, by his greed, had changed his destiny for servanthood.

When Esau came for his blessing the father told him that his blessings had been exhausted.

Read Genesis 27 : 33 :1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 1 Peter

“And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.” (Genesis 27 :33).

WHEN ALL BLESSINGS ARE GIVEN OUT THERE COULD  REMAIN ONE BLESSING.

But there was  one blessing left for Esau:

27:34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

27:35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing. (Genesis 27 34 – 35)

If a man looses the blessings which were meant for him, he must be satisfied with hardship to survive. If one will survive in hardship, it is also a blessing, but not the desired process of  blessing. Esau must survive only by  hardship.

27:38 And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

27:39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;

27:40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. (Genesis 27 : 38 -40).

MUST SUCCESS ACHIEVED THROUGH INTRIGUE BE OF GOD?

Every human intrigue which is not blessed by God will not yield any good. Let no one think that the intrigue of Rebekah worked good for Jacob, therefore use that event to think he/she  can twist the hand of God.

THERE MUST BE SOMETHING GOOD IN JACOB AND BAD IN ESAU.

Read the following :

25:27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents. (Genesis 25 : 27).

Parental love should  receive the approval of  God. Parents may love their children, but such children must have good standing before God. Isaac  loved Esau for what he meant for him, but Esau did not have the favour of God.

ESAU HAD SOLD HIS BIRTHRIGHT.

25:31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright. (Genesis 25 : 31 – 34).

WHY CRY WHEN THE HEAD IS OFF?

Esau cried for his birthright, but he had sold it for a plate of stew.

We must beware of the actions we take. We must beware when we are under pleasure to enjoy what might be our undoing in years to come.

Our first parents ate the fruit that should  make them wise and be like God. They eventually became wise and did never  never, be like God. We must beware. Never suddenly trade off your destiny for what is seemingly good

Our careless utterances might fall on routes we might pass through in years to come. We may never, never know the consequences of the actions we take. A rich man berated a poor man by his status standing, but never knew the poor man was in good standing with God. The man Nabal berated David, when he was in distress, but David later inherited his wife Abigael. You must search scriptures.

Esau berated his birthright and had to cry for it later. May God never allow our expectations to be cut off. We must never forget that our lives are on  record, which would be used to decide our fate here and also in eternity.

Many people are ruined by that common saying, “it does not matter.”

Note the following :

(1) When a nation denounces the  name of God, they may seek that name in future and not find it.

(2) When a person for what he will eat or enjoy today sells his destiny for present gain, he might in the cause of that journry discover that what he thought good has become a trap he cannot escape.

TAKE TIME TO BE HOLY AND ACT HOLILY.

Read the following :

(1 )  “Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.” (Leviticus 19 : 2)

‘(2)  Consecrate your life to God  and have self control. Esau did not have self control in the moment of great appetite.

Read 1 Peter 1: 5-8,10 :

1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

May God grant us the  grace to do all the above good and retain our blessings.
