Miracle Valley Sermon 11th June 2023.
Prosperity makes a man to be visible to attract the envy of the wicked.
God’s people must prosper, whether the devil likes it or not. And God had said to Abraham, “you shall be a blessing…..” (Gen. 12 : 2)
AND THE MESSAGE TODAY :
26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: (Genesis 26 : 12 – 13).
This progress aroused the envy of the people around him.
The Philistines had been a generation problem to the people of God. All the wells that Abraham had dug, were closed by the Philistines.
Isaac began to dig new wells. His herdsmen strove with the herdsmen of Gerar, who closed the wells.
Courage is what every man should ask of from the Lord. Adversity can be created by men or natural circumstances.
But, we need to stand against adversity and grow despite envy of men. We have to stand against adversity with trust in God. Of course we have to live above adversity in the land, because it must come in different colours as long as we live on this earth.
Isaac never surrendered. There is no where I read so far, that he blamed God. He moved away from the zone of adversity. He was always moving forward in search of his blessings.
ISAAC GOT TO REHOBOTH.
26:22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
26:23 And he went up from thence to Beersheba.
IN EVERY ADVERSITY THINK NOT THAT GOD IS NOT PRESENT.
26:24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake. (Genesis 26 : 22 – 24).
When we go through difficult times, we need to persevere and wait for the voice of comfort from the Lord.
In the above verse God said to Isaac “……fear not for I am with thee and will bless thee and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake “.
At your “Rehoboth”, you shall say ” For now the Lord has made room for me and I shall be fruitful in the land”.
My prayer with us this day:
All the wickedness, which the Philistines came with against our possession, all the wells they have closed so that we have no water for our herds, shall be revisited with blessing in our new found land.
All the obstacles they had set against our inheritance shall be dismantled by the Lord and used as a hedge against the progress of their generation for ever.
For you have said in your abiding Word Lord, that You will make war against Amalek for ever.
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
17:16 For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
(Exodus 17 : 14 – 16)
Oh! God, raise a standard against our detractors and oppressors, who have put a yoke on us and plesse set us free from their oppression and make us exceedingly fruitful Amen.
Let every yoke of the wicked against us, be turned off. Prosper us Lord and let the hardship of yesteryears, be turned off and restore us to our inheritane Amen.
