Christ denied Himself all the beauty of Heaven and came to this dark World to suffer for me and you.
Do you recognise that Jesus is described as the flood light of heaven?
Have you ever been to a stadium to watch a night football match. You can pick a pin in that environment at night, because of the floodlights.
Yet Jesus refused all the pleasures to come here, not only to behold this darkness, but also to die to pave a golden street for us.
He denied His status and took the position which is less than that of a servant to show you and me the light pointing to heaven.
HAVE YOU DENIED YOURSELF?
Many people are working and making big money and in their plenty, they mock the men of God sweating to bring to them the word of life.
Some feel that the pastor is a lazy man. But note that he is also able to make money like anyone else.
They have denied themselves, They have sold their pride for the kingdom.
Jesus told someone this:
Birds have nests, the rabbits have holes, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay His head.
Have you spent one night outside, not because you want it so?
It could be raining also. Have you sold your life to dangers for the heavenly mission?
JESUS SAID YOU MUST DENY YOURSELF IF YOU WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN.
You have to deny yourself and take up the suffering that goes with the Gospel
READ THESE :
MARK 8 : 34
8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
(Mark 8 :34 – 35.)
You must deny your pleasures to follow Christ. Some feel to go out for Christ is stress, but many are pushing wheel barrows, because it will fetch them bread.
But such people cannot push wheel barrow with tracts in it, to save a soul. They feel such move is like bringing themselves and their status down. They ask : “Why must people hear or see me walking through muddy ways to reach men for God?
Please use what you have, be it jour remaining time on earth, or your wealth to gather your friends and to reach those who are lost and and those who are dying gradually.
MATT. 11 :; 12
11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11 : 12).
People are struggling to make heaven, but someone could say, because God is compassionate He will do all to usher me or anuone to heaven.
Take not God for granted, but struggle to enter.
We must begin with our choice to enter heaven. People of old suffered to enter the promise and do we think the same God will have a separate dispensation for us today?
MATT. 19 : 14.
19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19 : 14).
We need the mind of the child to go to heaven, We think the child is a nuisance in the gathering, because of their noise. But people who are like children can take risks to get what is good for them.
We are saving our lives daily and will stay away from God’s work. It could be fun for the child. Unless we follow God’s way with the heart of the child we cannot make heaven.

OUR PRAYER TODAY :
Almighty God this life you gave us would be an empty dream, if we miss your promise of everlasting life.
Give us the heart to stand up like a boxer, who has fallen thrice, but with courage rose up each time again, to continue and later win.
