SHOW ME YOUR FAITH AND I WILL SHOW YOU MY LOVE THROUGH MY FAITH.

LOVE SUNDAY JULY 2018 SERMON.

The climax of love is not what you want to receive, but rather what you want to give. Are you giving your time, your money or your efforts. The best is to give your all.

*********************************

A Miracle Valley Sermon  delivered  in our 2018 Miracle Valley Love Sunday , today   Sunday 29th July , 2018.

THE MIRACLE VALLEY PASSION !

In any chosen sunday in July every year, we celebrate love, in what we call “Love Sunday”. My ministry teaches our members and associates to practice love. In pursuing this you are taught to put a smile on someone’s face and also make it regular. You do not need to be a member of my ministry to do this. So if you cannot give someone who is very rich money, food, or other, please give him a smile or  flowers. So no one is excluded from expressing love.

Here are many ways love could be shown:

1) Love can come through a pat on the back of  a discouraged person. It is like saying move ahead God is with you. This is great, when as a big man,  you give a young child a pat on the back with a smile.

2) Love can come to the home of the lonely through a visit of love. Someone could  say ” Do I still have people in this world? I thought I have been forgotten”.

3) Love can come through a smile from the heart so radiating that the individual reciprocates. An angry face you put before a person would preach unsavoury sermons.

4) A visit and prayer for the sick one in hospital, at their home, the old people’s home are life rejuvinating.

All these cost nothing but reveal  the heart trobbing in reflection of good wishes.

On the second side love can come through sacrifice of giving no matter how small. We sometimes withhold giving, because we feel ashamed to give  what is not large. The person you are giving to has not complained,  why do you,  unless you have labelled yourself as being stingy,  because you could give more.

IMPORTANT NOTE :

This sermon comes as a bulletin, but I am preparing this while in my village in Imo State  Nigeria, during a missionary journey. It will however still come as a bulletin, and also you should check  our website: www.mvgmng.org  in the first week of August 2018.

READ THESE BRIEFS ON THIS SERMON:

And the man David said, ” I live in the house built of cedar and my God lives in a tent”

Read this extract:

7:2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.7:3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the LORD is with thee. (2 .Samuel 7 :2-3)

And Lord said to David :

“In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?

“And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house”.  (2 Samuel 7 :7, 11)

David had made up his mind to build a house for God. Definitely, God appreciated that gesture as act of faith to be inscripted on the walls.

And God said to David, ” “You will not build a house for me,  I will rather  build a house for you, and your son will build for me a house”

Read this from 2 Samuel chapter 7:

7:12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. (2 Samuel 7 : 22-13)

Go through more scriptures to pick up more of the details.

YOU  CAN SEE HEREIN HOW GOD RECIPROCATED THE LOVE OF DAVID.

What men are doing in the world today:

1) – many are building houses of marble for themseves,  and renovating them with precious stones, while the church building where they worship have remained uncompleted and even some remained  so  for decades. They have been leg-  dragging to put a roof over their heads in the temple where they wirshop God.

2) – many pastors are going hungry,  while some members who they care for feed  their asian dogs with one goat a week. A man called by God has been given to you to feed. Why do you starve him?  Do you know God took him out of riches to be a priest? He could have been richer than you,  if God allowed him to work as you.

 Read:

“But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. (Mark 6 : 9 – 10).

Do you know this, that it is a priviledge to feed a servant of God and not to see them as loafers?

3) – many widows and their orphans have nothing to wear or eat and no money to pay meagre school fees, you see them and pass by as if they are not humans.  God is a friend  to the widows and orphans, if they  do well, they are close to the heart of God.  Do not provoke God by the way you treat them.

Show  me your Faith  and someone will show you Love as outcome of his faith. Such should be the maxim. Amen

Are you caught in this paradox? It  may look like a fable, but truely quite real in many places across this world. Where then is our love?

Show me your face on FACEBOOK or WHATTSAP  or MESSENGER through your LOVE AND   NOT JUST EXPRESSED IN GOOD WISHES,  BUT SHOW THAT LOVE WHICH TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD. GOD  SAID :  “DAVID  IS A MAN AFTER MY HEART”.

NOW READ THE APPAREL OF LOVE :

In our usual Sacred Songs and Solos by Irad Sankey there is this song reflecting the love of Jesus and it goes:

1) I gave my life for thee !

What hast though given for me?

2) I spent long years for thee,

What hast thou spent for me.

3)  My father’s home of light

I left for earthly night,

What have you left for me?

4) I suffered much for thee

What have you suffered for me?

And this song concludes:

Oh let thy life be given

Follow thy Saviour’s call.

( please these are extracts from the stanzas)

The Strength of Love:

Reading from Songs of Solomon chapter 8:

8:6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.8:7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

The qualities of Love:

  1. Love is as strong as death.
  2. Jealousy is as cruel as sheol
  3. Many waters cannot quench love.
  4. Floods cannot drown love.
  5. Love cannot be bought.

Read more about love:

  1. God’s Love from Isaiah chapter 49

49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

  1. God’s choice born out of love and to Zerubbabel He says:

“In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts. (Haggai 2:23)

In conclusion let us wrap up as follows:

If you gained from this 2018 Love Sunday sermon, first understand that there is much gain in expressing love. Except you begin with this mind set, you cannot go with this message.

You must hnderstand that love is an investment and God invested Jesus, who died on the cross for our salvation. How far can we immitate God. Note that givers never lack and as you do to others, so others will do unto you.

Love Puts Smiles On Faces.

Experiment  the folliwing and write down your observation:

1, A visit to the hospital to pray for the sick or give out some provision.

  1. A gift to the suffering widow.
  2. A visit and gifts at the old people’s home.

When joy comes out of the heart of people who have been touched through love,  tears flow and not laughter. Let us celebrate 2018 Love Sunday by taking a decision to be an example of a Lover , like David, like Jesus and like our God and the examples left behind by Jesus’s disciples, who laid their lives down for the sake of the gospel.

It is not the size of the gift, but the nature, the timeliness and the heart that makes the difference. Remember that your love shown through your gifts will be rewarded.

NOTE THIS:

6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38).
