Christian friends across the world and indeed all men irrespective of your faith, I welcome all of us to this new day.
May God bless you for the interest you have to read this sermon. It is good to be ambitious, but it should be plummed to ensure it does not rob you of eternal life to come.
Every man is a visitor to this House and you can not leave the House with what is not your own. Everything in the House belongs to the owner of the House and no one earth owns the House.
Ambition is a drive to achieve an end. There is an ambition in every man ,every home, peoples and nations. Some of such ambitions may be Towers of Babel. Some lives are ruled by mischief, but the only worth while ambition is one built around the desire to do the will of God.
Beware of vain ambition :
2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. (Philippians 2 : 3).

Read this:
11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
11:2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
11:3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. (Genesis 11 : 1 – 4).
THE QUESTION: DID THEY OCCUPY ?

The peoples of this world are always craving for many things right from the children of Noah. They are always in expansionate dimensions.
God had made us a people that can speak in one language from the begining and with a single self determination. Children of Noah, wanted to live together so that they will not be scatered. There was nothing wrong in wanting to live together as a people.
But greed and the desire to do the extraordinary make man to forget the Lord God.
The children of Noah were not satisfied to build earthly cities. They were attracted to build a tower, which will extend to the parlour of God. So they began the Tower of Babel. They desired to set their kingdom at the door mouth of God’s dwelling.
Note what happened :
11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
11:8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. (Genesis 11 : 7 – 8).
GOD SCATTERED THEM AND RUINED THEIR AMBITION.
God changed the language, so they could not understand each other. They were scattered from thence upon the face of the earth and they congregated according to those who spoke the same language.
Gradually a people from one parentage, became enemies and rivalled against one another. The greed to dominate, even if possible God Himself, who is in heaven sent them packing. The threat of man, even if possible to dominate the sovereignty of God, is still here with us.
Today the greed to dominate one another is creating splinter groups across the nations of the world.
TODAY THE QUESTION COULD BE YOU ARE BLACK AND I AM WHITE.
The black people are considered to be inferior in some nations and are therefore oppressed. lf a black man makes a discovery, it should be validated by the white man to make it authentic. The blacks are considered good for servitude in some nations. Howbeit, God has done what He said:
1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1 :31).
And because the blacks are increasing in population it will be prefered better to cut them to size by any means to stop their population explosion. This is another Tower of Babel.
IN SOME PLACES IT IS I AM MORE POWERFUL
Look at these ranges of the ambition of men:
In some regions ethnic groups are bent against each other, it may be to annihilate, or whipe out and occupy. This is another Tower of Babel.
And in those days the children of Moab, Amon and the Edomites (Mount Seir, children of Esau) formed a league against the children of Judah in the reign of Jehoshphat. It was another Babel of its type and they all perished between themselves and let Judah alone (Chronicles 20 : 1 – 25).
There is this addage ” united we stand, divided we fall”. Man is not aspiring for unity and the United Nations is a dying league.
God might be looking down again to divide the world. But some must loose out in all these splits accross the nations in the events which are happening because of avarice.
YOU CHILD OF GOD MUST KNOW THAT THIS SIGNIFIES THE END OF TIME.
A day is coming when people will wake up in the morning to see that their ambition has crashed, God is the Maker and the Owner of the world. He makes us know that He is coming to take His own out of the earth.
Do you know that some mock this sermon? Yet the truth is that some, if not all, of those who are just one year old today , will not be here for another 100 years.
This time is the time to seek to be with the Lord as He comes in power very soon. (1 Thessalonians 4 : 16-17).
In the time of Noah all the great men on earth had their ambition, until Noah entered the ark. All their dreams of a world of their time ended.
This earth which people are struggling to possess, will vanish in a smoke, and God will install a new heaven and a new earth ( Revelations 21 : 1-3).
This time there will be no memorials of the Babels, which people are building all over the place, but an an entirely new world of God where the righteous will reign.
DO NOT DOUBT THIS, FOR IT IS TRUE.
Spend time to think about the vanities of all your efforts and bend low and do the will of God. Amen. The book of Ecclesiastes says all is vanity ( Ecclesiastes 1 : 1-2 ).
All the scheming of men will end and if the events to come appear far in our eyes, who among men can say the life they have is theirs?
Some in this temporal time, are building or accumulating whatever reserved for the day of the flood. It is always in man to grab and grab, whether power or chattels, or to ignore the less mortals, but how this life ends is what none knows, yet God will judge all men according to their irreverence of His Words.
God will judge every man individually according to his/ her activity under the Sun. No man can question God.
My friends in conclusion I say mind what is your ambition. Let it not be a Tower of Babel.
In a final note let nothing be done in vain ambition ( Philippians 2 : 3)
