THE KINGDOM OF GOD SUFFERETH VIOLENCE.

I want my Christian friends to read all this message thoroughly and separate the “taking of the kingdom by violence”,  from satanic activities.

You must beware of the foundation of the church where you worship and want to take the Kingdom by force.

And Jesus said :

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Matthew 11 : 12)

Note some theological substantiation of the above verse:

(1) Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subject to violence, and the violent lay claim to it. – Bible Hub biblehub.com › matthew

(2) From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been suffering violence, and the violent have been seizing it by force. … From the days …

(3 ) 13 Mar 2023 · “From the days of John the Baptist until now,” there has been an extraordinary rush of people pressing in from all sides, eager for a blessing.

NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS EXPRESSION BY JESUS.

Various explanations :

(1) the kingdom of God has been subject to violence and the violent “lay claim” to it.

(2) the kingdom of God has been suffering violence and the violent “had been  seizing it” by force.

(3) there has been an extraordinary rush of people pressing in from all sides “eager for” a blessing.

Jesus was telling people in His time, that people are making uncompromising efforts to enter the kingdom.

THE INDICASION IS THAT IT IS TOUGH TO GET  IN.

To get in signifies there is a door and because there is  crowd only people who are painstaking, brave,  violent and extraordinary can have the Kingdom.

It is not easy to take the kingdom, because of challenges, persecutions and changing times. Notwithstanding, many  people are taking all sorts of risks for kingdom sake and achieving it.

However, often out of ignorance and short of kingdom knowledge, many have gone the wrong way.

The need to stand for the truth and reality is no more as simple. People must be bold to defend the cause of Christ for themselves and to be bold to stand up in society and defend the cause of the gospel with full knowledge.

But one great issue is that people are seizing the opportunity, people are eager, people are laying claim to the Kingdom some in unknown error.

BUT LET US BEWARE  OF ERROR WHILE WE  ARE BOLD.

EXAMPLES OF ERROR :

The real-life story of the Peoples Temple cult led by Reverend Jim Jones and the events involving its move to Guyana and its eventual mass suicide is still on record.

Jonestown became internationally infamous when, on November 18, 1978, a total of 918 people died at the settlement, at the nearby airstrip in Port Kaituma, and at a Temple-run building in Georgetown, Guyana’s capital city. The name of the settlement became synonymous with the incidents.

Based upon the real life story of Reverend Jim Jones, a self-proclaimed prophet who founded the Peoples Temple. In the 1960s, he began as an idealist helping minorities, he had a following of over 1000 people, who had donated their entire life savings to him and to join his commune, before moving them to Guyana. for investigation. This led to the suicide of over 900 people.

And we have a similar example of taking the kingdom by force in Kenya.

The Good News International Ministries (GNIM), or Good News International Church, commonly referred to as the Shakahola cult and previously referred to as the Servant P. N. Mackenzie Ministries, is a new religious movement which was based in Shakahola, Kilifi County, Kenya, and was founded by Paul Nthenge Mackenzie and his first wife in 2003.[1]

GNIM attracted international attention in April 2023 when it was revealed that Mackenzie had allegedly instructed members to starve themselves en masse to “meet Jesus,” which has resulted in the deaths of over 400 people.

A BAD NAME TO THE FAITH.

Some of these events are giving a bad name to the Christian faith. People should know, who they have believed in and should read the Bible as the Charter of our faith.

The Bible offers complete answers to all these deviations.

Do not swallow hook and sinker what you do not understand. Those who have died in the Guyana incident or the Kenyan episode, cannot make the heaven they have aspired for.

Let no one mislead you with unholy doctrine, or a self exalted message to attract the gullible.

Finally note this :

The Just Shall Live by Faith Meaning – Rom 1:17, Gal 3:11, Heb 10:38 KJV –

Romans 1:17 – “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Galatians …

What does it mean that the just shall live by his faith?

the righteous shall live by his faith” … live, shall endure by his faith in God’s promise, and in his power.

“The just shall live by his faith” means: just people are people of faith, and faith is what secures their life and keeps them safe for eternity …

Faithful people do not commit suicide, for that does not secure their life or take them to eternity with God.

Faithful people do not constitute element of risk to life and property within the society.

Our prayer today :

Lord, the world is growing daily under deception. Save me Lord, save your church from the hands of wolves, Amen.
