The Great Commission
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”(Matthew 28 : 20).
The work of the missionary of Jesus Christ is to teach the people to observe what He taught them. Anything outside that is not the gospel.
And Christ will be with such teachers unto the end of the world.
There can be no salvation except the hearer observes what he has been taught.
In this respect Jesus said:
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”(John 8 : 32).
How can the people know the truth that will set them free, if no one teaches that truth?
Today some people capitalise on this saying and teach falsehood and many are led away in their false doctrines.
Note that God has set up a government for the teaching of His followers. Therefore let no one assume the office for which he is not commissioned to avoid misdirecting the people concerning the truth.
Read the following :
12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
(1 Corinthians 12 : 28 – 29).
In Christ’s great commission there are divisions of Labour. Many have captured juicy offices in the gospel and set aside the tenets of the faith in Christ.
The tendency today is for many people not knowing Christ just like the Greeks followed the unknown God at the Areopagus.
Read this dialogue :
17:20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. (Acts17 : 20 – 23).
Teaching perfects understanding and helps people to live on the facts of faith and not error.
If you desire the salvation which is in Christ read the scriptures for perfect knowledge. If you believe in what you are taught and also have read, you will be called the son of God.
Do not swallow every teaching for some teachers in this end time have gone unscriptural. The Bible is the charter of our faith and is error free.
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3 : 16)
The Greeks needed to know what they called the Unknown God. Paul told them that the Unknown God to them, is the Almighty God, who they should come to know.
It is not easy to teach the truth concerning God. In all other learning, people have to read and write and apply human wisdom. But in the things of God,we need faith to apply the wisdom that will give us salvation.
The high point of this sermonn today is that people should be taught to observe whatsoever is in God’s word (Matt. 28 :20). Many have engaged in miracles or teachings that makes money for them and put aside the truth which people must know to receive the salvation of Christ. Therefore many are lost.

LORD, GIVE ME THE HOLY GHOST WHO WILL HELP ME TO DESCERN THE MESSAGE I RECEIVE AT THIS END TIME IN JESUS NAME AMEN.
