Miracle Valley Sermons March 7th, 2021.
Jesus taught His disciples how to pray. In all the praying He told them something important to pray about and that is asking for the will of God to be done on earth as in heaven. We are on earth and God is in heaven and note this very seriously, that nothing will be done on earth if not approved in heaven.
The will of God supercedes all things in life and on earth.
Read the following:
6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6 : 9 -10)
GOD KNOWS ALL OUR NEEDS.
6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
If we do the will of God our PRAYERS will be shorter, because God knows perfectly all we need. God does not delight in long prayers.
If I have this to say as a man, “God listens to and answers all the prayers of human beings, all the animals , all plants and whatever He created.
Will you therefore waste time repeating and repeating with big grammar. Talk to God in pidgin English, or your language. You do not have to look for correct grammar, though grammar is important, He is not marking your English composition, He looks at your heart.
LIFE THREATNING SITUATIONS.
It could be any of the following issues :
(1) In time of sickness and we perceive our health is crashing, we should ask for the will of God. He has the solution. Enemies may stand against us and satan could support them, but God’s will supercedes their determination.
Read this :
103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; (Psalm 103 : 3).
God heals our diseases.
147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. (Psalm 147 : 3).
The anguish of our heart and our sorrowful moods are not forgotten by God. Scripture says so and God’s word will not fail.
(2) Our job may be crashing and we feel we canmot make it , God’s plan is ever near.
Read this :
6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (Matthew 6 : 28 – 31).
Your job will not crash, your source of sustenance will widen and God will keep you refreshed for His Word has spoken. You are more than the lilies and the sparrows.
(3) When you get disturbed about what the enemies are scheming:
Ask for the will of God. It may surprise you to see how God turns the schemes to be your blessing.
Prayers seeking God’s will on earth and in heaven should include seeking God to forgive us as we forgive those enemies. The will of God over sin is to punish sin, but God will not sell His beloved children to satan.
I have this popular song in Igbo ( the Igbos are a tribe east of Nigeria.) :
Ma mmee uche ya,
Ozu worom.
In English :
When I do His will,
It is enough for me.
God’s thought towards us are for good and not for evil.
When disaster looms seek God’s will , when friends desert you or speak evil against you seek God’s will; it could be for your good.
THE WILL OF GOD IS IMPORTANT IN OUR PRAYERS.
If we pray and do not get exact result, seek God’s will over the prayer you have made, if you are His child indeed He makes a way where they seem to be no way. God is coming back with better treasures all the time.
