Prologue :
Educated men have the letters of the word, but may not have the letters of the Spirit in the word. All human beings have spirits, but not all have the Spirit of God.
In the environment of God we need to be born again with the Word of God and By His Spirit.
This Is The World’s Great Controversy.
Jesus spoke of being born again to the man Nicodemus, who wondered how a grown up man can enter into the mother’s womb and get born again.
There is need for regeneration, for a man to be transformed from the Adamic nature to the the nature of God.
The question of Nicodemus led to the following dialogue.
Read as follows:
3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3 : 1, 3 – 7).
Nicodemus was a Pharisee and can be recognised as someone who knew God’s word.
Position in the house of God does not make a man to be born again. A man must be born of the word of God which is described as Water and the Spirit of God to be a new man.
Incidentally no man can see God unless one be born again. In the same vein, no man can enter the kingdom of God without being born again.
Human beings are corrupted Seed.
We are corrupted by the Adamic nature and there is need for regeneration for us to fit into the schemes of God.
Read this :
1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: (1 Peter 1 : 23 – 24).
The glory in man will be revealed when there is the born again spirit. It is not easy to live a righteous life without being born by the Word of God, which will make us to know the secret things of God, and born of His Spirit to make us live in the image of God, which manifests in us through the Holy Spirit of God.
The Born Of God Will Not Sin
5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. (1 John 5 : 18).
We can live a sin free life only by being born again.
THE RESULT OF BEING BORN AGAIN.
(1) We love irrespective of tribe and tongue.
4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (1 John 4 : 7).
(2) We become new creatures by removing the old man.
5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5 : 17 ).
People of God avoid hate, especially murderous hate. We become new persons, when we are born again and we then start to live righteously .
Lord God grant us the grace to be born again. Amen.
