– When people fear judgement and tell lies, it is compromise.
– When people support friends in an evil done it is compromise of the truth.
– Most diplomatic moves across the nations have their foundation on compromise.
In pro-summary compromise is great sin.

What is the real meaning of compromise?
It is a way of reaching agreement in which each person or group gives up something that was wanted in order to end an argument or dispute. [noncount] the art of political compromise.
BIblical Compromise by Azariah King of Judah:
15:1 In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
15:2 Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
15:3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
15:4 Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
15:5 And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land. (2 Kings 15: 1 – 5) KJV.
BACKGROUND NOTE :
Negative compromise takes place when someone agrees to another party’s proposal, but doesn’t benefit from this agreement. In negative compromise, one party reaps the rewards at the detriment of the other party. Negotiation is often confused with compromise, but it’s slightly different.
WHAT HAPPENED TO KING AZARIAH
The LORD struck the king with leprosy, which lasted until the day he died. He lived in isolation in a separate house. The king’s son Jotham was put in charge of the royal palace, and he governed the people of the land.
DOING THE WRONG THING CONSCIOUSLY TO SATISFY SOME PEOPLE IS SIN.
Examine these interpretations of James 4 : 7.
James 4:17 in Other Translations :
(i) 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
(ii) 17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
(iii) 17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
Azariah knew that Idolatry was sin and abhorred it, but to please the people he allowed them to go their own ways serving idols. The Lord struck him of leprosy and he died in it. Any one who does not rebuke sin, is sinning before the Lord.
WEARING TWO FACES COULD MAKE A PERSON A MASQUERADE.
A person in a masquerade is not the same person you know and he could be acting the contrary, whch cannot be identified in his personality. Deceivers are compromisers.
If you know the correct thing to do, but set up your people aside from doing it, then the good you do will not give you any credit before the Lord.
EYE SERVICE IS PRETENSE.
Such people are dangerous people and will not qualify for reward, because in the secret they will wear their true garment, but before the people they will pretend to be what thy are not. Anyone who acts in eye service is compromising, because the agreement to do what is done is just to satisfy the master.
“Eye service,” refers to performing tasks or showing attention only when someone is watching, as opposed to genuine dedication or commitment.
A term coined by Paul to express the conduct of slaves, who work only when they are watched, and whose motive, therefore, is not fidelity to duty, but either to avoid punishment or to gain reward from their masters (Ephesians 6:6; Colossians 3:22).
GOD SEES THE HEART.
1 Samuel 16:7 English Standard Version (ESV) For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.”
Eliab son of Jesse, appeared before Samuel for annointing. In the ordinary eye of Samuel, he was seen as a potential, but God said to Samuel: “look not at his stature or countenance, I have rejecred him.”
FOR OUR MEDITATION TODAY :
Compromisers and eye servants are masqeurades. God has rejected them and they will have no reward. They are found in many places and forms in life.
They are in the church, in politics, in the communities and the family, they flourish, but they are counterfeits unconciously.
Beware of them, do not be like them, for they will not be rewarded.
PRAYER : Lord save me from the extensions of compromise, make me your true vessel in Jesus name Amen.
