Something to go home with today :
7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;7:10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Deuteronomy (Deut. 7 : 9 – 10).
As we have ancestral curses, we also have ancestral blessings.
Every good thing we do before the Lord are recorded by God and will be used to bless our generation.
God told Abraham you will be a blessing.
READ GENESIS 12 : 1 – 4
Abraham obeyed God and left Haran not knowing where he went to. Every man’s way must be tried to get a sure everlasting blessing.
JUDAH :
To Judah it was said the Sceptre shall not depart from Judah.
READ GENESIS 49 : 10
“The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.”
Background information to note about Judah. :
According to many rabbis and historians, the Jews are largely descended from the House of Judah, the Southern Kingdom of Judah, chiefly consisting of the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Benjamin, with some of the tribe of Levi.
The northern kingdom separated and fused with the nations. The Israel we have today are the tribes of Judah from Leah and Benjamin from Rachel both wives of Jacob.
What does Judah represent in the Bible?
The text of the Torah argues that the name of Judah, meaning to thank or admit, refers to Leah’s intent to thank Hashem, on account of having achieved four children, and derived from odeh, meaning I will give thanks.
The name Judah comes from the intent of Leah to thank God for giving her four children.
Judah means ” To thank Hashem”
DO YOU HAVE THE HEART TO THANK GOD FOR HIS GOODNESS TOWARDS YOU? HOW DO YOU DEMONSTRATE THAT ?
To thank God may lead you to act in the following directions : fundamentally appreciating God, self denial, righteous giving, devotion and sanctified life.
What you use to thank God will never make you poor or miserable.. A habit of constantly thanking God and living in holiness would earn you ancestral blessings.
It is good to have a thankful heart for what ever you receive in life. Thanking God opens doors of opportunities and heartful events coming across any life which is devoted to God.
YOUR DEVOTION TO GOD COULD EARN YOU ANCESTRAL BLESSINGS, WHICH COMES FROM NO WHERE ELSE, BUT FROM GOD.
I want to encourage us to try to live a holy life before the Lord so that God may make a life changing pronouncement over our lives.
In as much as we are alive, iet it go on record, that God has said, ” in blessing I will bless you.”
Do you know we suffer deprivations in this life, because we often do not put God first in the scheme of what we do.
We often go into oratory to approve some sinful lifestyles, by saying we must do this or that if we want to get on or survive. God is watching all things.
Often such actions carry elements of sin.
For Gideon to have victory over the Midianites he had to destroy the temple of Baal built by his fathers. This brought a blessing to Israel as nation.
GIDEON :
Judges 6:27-29 ISV – Gideon Destroys His Father’s Altar –
When the leading men of the city got up early the next morning, the altar to Baal had been torn down, along with the Asherah that had stood beside it.
When attack was raised against Gideon , Joash the father if Gideon told the men of the city : Let Baal fight for itself and so we have Jerubbaal. (Judges 6 : 32).
Stand for the right in all you do in life and God will vindicate you. Those who want to fight for the idols of their villages will be humiliated in their generations.
Note this :
The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him. “But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die.

I was shocked recently to hear what one senior advocate of Nigeria said : “Government can use illegality to achieve her purpose.”
This is the life of people like Machiavelli who apply lies in governance. Machiavelli said in governance you can lie with an uprisen face, to achieve what you want without shame.
Some people do not care and will say: “man die, man go” and what they have done will not be remembered.
Man is made in the image of God and becomes an eternal being in the microcosm of God. So if we do evil, we will live to suffer in hell, but those who do good will live in eternal bliss in the presence of God.
LET RIGHTEOUSNESS BE YOUR LEGACY.

LORD GRANT ME THE PRIVILEGE OF MY OWN ANCESTRAL BLESSING.
