CALL UPON ME IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE……

(Tear your heart and not your garment)
Could there be a day of trouble? As there is a day of trouble so also are days of mirth. All people will press for the day of mirth rather than day of trouble.
In life the two come at different times or even close to one another. But God’s hand is over all things.
God said “call upon me in the day of trouble I will answer you”.
50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalm 50:15).

God’s deliverance will be followed by thanksgiving. Every God minded person is looking forward to a day of a very big thanksgiving, when this current oppression of the devil will be over. God will be glorified through it and the enemies of God will be totally put to shame.
The day of trouble can be a day of sickness, a day of oppression or a time of trial and such a time like this in the world is a time of trouble indeed.

And there is a promise from the Lord and it says : “I will deliver you! ” God made this promise in His faithfulness. The assurance of the Lord comes forth :
3:22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3 : 22 – 33).

SEE THESE COMFORTING WORDS :
34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.34:20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.34:21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. (Psalm 34 : 19 – 21).
PRAISE GOD.

TO CALL ON GOD IS TO PRAY.
Whether sickness of any nature, physical oppression, lockdown or any issue, prayer is the answer. We are told in the epistle of James:
(i) 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (James 5:14).
(ii) 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (James 5:15).
In the present circumstance around the world, the answer is calling on God through prayer. The prayer of Faith shall heal the sick (James 5:15).
The prayer of faith will lift lockdown. AMEN.

We are also told that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much. He that prays for people must be a friend of God and the sick one, must recognise the possibility of sin.
If we call on God He is compassionate. That urge from us to call on God is recognised in His presence and He might show us His compassion. God will forgive our sin and heal our world AMEN.
5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16)
We must therefore not forget to seek His forgiveness. Some hide their sins, but it is difficult to hide sickness, oppression or satanic attacks.. Therefore let us expose our sins and sickness will hide out of us.
We expose sins by confessing them and seeking God’s people to intercede for us.
Medications and all forms of therapy work better if God is in them. So for whatever situation let us call on God through prayer.
May God have mercy on the afflicted. Amen.

ONE MISSING LINK TO EXPLORE TODAY:

5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. (James 5:13).
Many of us pray when we are sick, but some do not praise God in time of affliction. The angels will descend in our praise worship. Add praise every time you call on the Lord.
Praising God is not for the choir alone, it is for all people whether in the church, the office, the kitchen or on the high way. Angels are waiting to harvest your praise worship. This time sincerely is the time of continuous praise worship until the voice cracks and heaven comes down for God’s mercy upon us.
WE THANK GOD FOR GRACE TO KNOW HIM.
