(A message of comfort and caution)

If you do well you may become visible and visibility attracts all sorts of flies.
God knows a lot about His people and His word brings comfort to them.
Note this bible quotation:
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;” (2 Timothy 2:12-14).
Hatred comes because a person is doing something which is abhored, or because a person is standing out doing good, which people are not ready for. You will possibly be spoken against and given all sorts of names when you do not flow with the crowd. So Jesus speaks to the weary traveler saying:
6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. (Luke 6 : 26-29).
Wordly people are believed in by those who live by their lifestyle and whatever they do is pleasing to them. God’s people hear and appreciate themselves, because they are of God.
4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. (1 John 4:5-6).
Hatred will reign as long as there are evil people.
Read:
24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Matthew 24 : 9, 12-13.).
A lot of what is happening in the world today is because of the fact that evil people cannot coexist with those who fear the Lord. They are killing many faithfuls in the world today, because sin has blinded them , who by that evil life chose to do evil and abhor rghteousness.
THE ENCOURAGEMENT:
2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Revelation 2:10)
LET US SAY AMEN TO THIS ENCOURAGEMENT. SO I SAY AMEN.
The people that practice evil will hate those who try to do good. Evil people will not want to be in the midst of those who want to do good. They hide in darkness abd speak evil against other people as if that should be a way to prove they are better than them. God will judge them beginning in this flesh. Watch out and you will hear of the end of evil doers if Christ tarries.
Read Ephesians 5:13 :
5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. (Ephesians 5 : 13-14).
Evil people are dead people even though they seem to live. God’s word enjoins us to wake up, if we are asleep that is to say if we are not conscious of what is wrong.
A plea of Amos to sinning Israel.
5:14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. (Amos 5 : 14 – 15).
If we do this as the remnant, we will enjoy what God has prepared for us. I call the faithful people the remnant just as the word of God has said. The remnant is what is left in the basket after the wind has blown out the chaff.
So if you are hated or spoken against by people, do this exercise of self evaluation now:
13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?(2 Corinthians 13 : 5).
THIS CAUTION IS PLACED IN THIS ADVICE, BECAUSE A REPROBATE HAS DEVIATED FROM THE TRUTH , SO HE/SHE THEREFORE CANNOT DO A GOOD SELF EVALUATION.
“But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.” (2 Corinthians 13:6)
We will never be reprobates, because we have not departed from the truth. We will not suffer for doing good in the hands of God, even though we may suffer in the hands of malicious people.
Note this finally:
2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: (1 Peter 2 : 20-22).
