WAIT UPON THE LORD.

If lockdown was waiting for Christ, many believers would have stepped up praying and fasting. The lockdown in essence is not that type of waiting, but rather waiting and hiding from disaster. We will surely wait upon the Lord. We wait for blessing even at this time.

Waiting calls for a lot of patience. No one will wait for anything which is not precious.

Let us begin with this encouragement.
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” (Psalm 27:14)
God will strengthen us as we wait. Let us wait.
Note the position of them that wait :
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31).
Much patience is required of those who wait. Our strength shall be renewed, our courage beefed up, because we wait upon the King of kings. We will mount up with wings as eagles. So even the old may not be like the young eagles, but they will behave like them.
Therefore as we wait upon the Lord at this kind of time, He will give us all the resources we need and we shall run and not weary or faint, for the hand of the Lord is our strength.
Praise God. God will renew the strength of His people , Hallelujah.

THOSE THAT WAITED AND THE BLESSINGS.
1. ANNA
2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;2:37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.2:38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. (Luke 2:36-38).
Anna saw the fulfilled hope of those, who waited (looked), for the redemption of Jerusalem.. God gave her long life (91 years), to see the manifestation of this hope in her life time. That redemption was not as could be perceived, to be emancipation from Roman rule, but salvation from sin coming through Christ.

2. SIMEON
2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.2:27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, (Luke 2:25-30).
You will not die until your eyes have seen the salvation of the Lord. Let us be focussed.
Anna and Simeon were focussed. Both of them were in the temple at the dedication of Jesus, Christ being the reason they lived. It will appear they received a dedication invitation card. These two people did not die, until they saw what they waited for. Haleluyah.
May those who matter be present in the day you will be crowned in Jesus Amen.
We will not be missing on the day our hopes will be fulfilled in Jesus name , Amen.

YOU MUST NOT WAIT FOR VANITY.
Let us therefore wait for a worthy cause.
In the book of Ecclesiastes, virtually everything that men strive for on material earth are vanity. Coming from having fame, all types of success and houses, men and women, and cars and to all levels of pleasures. The wise man Solomon said, they were vanities and frustration of the spirit. He could say this from experience. He sought for everything , got them, but they were all frustration.

NOTE THIS FROM KING SOLOMON.
Ecclesiastes :
1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.1:15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.1:16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.1:17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit. (Ecclesiastes 1:14-17).

WAIT FOR THINGS OF ETERNAL VALUE.
You can see that all struggles on earth are vain without God in them.
Solomon experienced this. Even so much sin are committed in the pursuit of vanity. The focus should be God and nothing else. With the current virus as they call it in aggregated conspiracy, we see the emptiness of all flesh. Those who have are like they have nothing. Those who do not have, who are lowered by circumstances, are but like equals with all men, waiting for the justice of the Lord. In this situation we should wait for a worthy cause, like Anna and Simeon.
Those who waited for the Messiah lived enough to see Him. We wait for His return, we shall not die without His salvation. The world and all their intrigues will not deny us the return of Christ, who we wait for. We are waiting for Christ and not any virus. May the Lord cover us under His wlngs, Haleluyah , Amen.
Shalom!
